Well...the S2000 needed more doors, more driven wheels, and a lot more torque...

2017, white with blue stripes (), 26k on the clock. Has Recaros, tech pack, and track pack.
Found it in St Louis and had a friend in the area go check it out for me. He gave the thumbs up so I put down a deposit.

Here's the posting online. I haven't seen the car in person. A friend of mine in the area that I more than trust with this sort of thing, he's more anal retentive about his cars than most of you on here, went out to take a look and gave it a thumbs up.

I get it.
On a far different scale, I want to get the Midge home & start putting miles on it.
Plans, work, extracurriculars, 3 kids, etc. Probably one more trip up to wrench on her, and get the cover built a the house & she'll be home.

Car is home! Long drive, the GT350 is an amazing car but a comfy highway cruiser it is not lol. Not bad place to spend 5-6 hours but any more than that would suck. Super tired last night so no real pics but here's one to keep you guys happy for now. Will take more later, especially after getting it cleaned up.

Thanks gents.
Car does need a full detail. The dealership armorall'ed the shit out of the interior so that needs to get fixed and the exterior has the usual swirls in the paint that need to get corrected. Good thing I have all next week off of work! Plan on getting this and the Rivian ceramic coated next week if I can. Rivian should be easy given its age and the fact that the only one who has washed it is me. This one may take a bit longer with the DA to get it just right.

Painted or tape stripes?

Vinyl stripes. I don't think the painted ones were an option on the GT350. They are on the GT500 though, and stupid expensive to get it.

Yeah, we had a few Camaros opt for painted stripes via our body shop when I was working for a Chevrolet dealer in college. Long-term better, but a lot more initially.
I've seen some get the tape stripes clear coated over to stop them from lifting/peeling over time, as well.

Took a really close look at the paint and it's swirl city and needs to get polished out. Will work on that next week!
Anyone have experience/advice polishing out vinyl? The stripes also have a good amount of fine scratches too...

The vinyl has no gloss over it, it's just the stripe itself. I'm going to go black pad and super gentle and see what happens.
Definitely not going to coat over it, it's really bad and would drive me nuts.

No idea but I'm taking the Rivian to get the PPF fixed (peeling up in certain areas) tomorrow morning and I'm going to ask them how much to replace the stripes. There's a place online that sells the stripes to DIY but I'm not sure I want to tackle that one. On second thought, I'm just going to leave them alone and get the paint done properly. If I have to replace the stripes, I'll kick that expense out to next year. This year is already expensive enough between the car and the basement finishing.
Anyway, car is all washed up, iron removed (looked like I ran over an animal with how much there was on there), and all set for a date with a clay bar and DA polisher tomorrow morning. Hopefully going to be able to get the ceramic coat on tomorrow late afternoon as well but we'll see. Mustang isn't a big car so it shouldn't take long to clay/polish. Most of the front and rear bumpers are open anyway. Biggest panel is the hood and a lot of it is covered by stripes lol.
