No leaks, louder than I hoped but no drone & it's manageable. I drove it to be positive no leaks & do a heat cycle tightening, there was a buffering noise that turned out to be the driver side tray that was there. still. a piece broke off It's too hot now to deal with the undertray.

Yeah these cars get dumb loud. Just be happy you don't have drone.

I eventually got sick of the exhaust on mine and swapped back to stock; I just kept the header, over-pipe, and JDL ultra quiet front pipe on it. It didn't sound great but at least it was quiet.

Yesterday I had the trays off and the main noise I had was the left side plastic flapping. After I fixed that on the way to work today it was way too loud. I emailed Nameless asking if there is a bigger resonator. I might have to go back to the stock muffler.

When my car was new, I put about 8k miles on it in the first 4-5 months.

My commute shortened, I started working from home, and the novelty of my new car faded. Nobody wanted to ride in it, especially the backseat.

Averaging less than 8k miles a year now

I think I put 18k on mine the first year I had it. But that was long before I got a header. It's amazing how much quieter the car is with the stock header and cat.

I have 12 miles on this exhaust, too many at this volume.

lol

Nameless response was I need to buy the 3" downpipe with heimholtz. I find it hard to believe that would make it quieter (and it's another 800 bucks.

I'd toss the factory axle-back back on the car and see how you like that.

The good news is it's a 20 minute swap and you can easily get your money back for the Nameless exhaust.

oh and tell them to heimholtz your dick!
Screw that...
then if you say it didn't do squat they will claim it's subjective and
try and tell you you probably just need some nameless ear plugs or a
diffuser or something.

Vavoom is out. Taking a break before I restore the OEM.

Also, there was huge vibration from I assume, the Nameless hangers that feel much harder. We'll see.

Fucking flange is bigger on the OEM than Nameless. Need to take it back out and drill the hole on both sides. GRRRRRR

WTF, why wouldn't they make it compatible. I guess they want to ensure you have to use their parts, front to back.

No clue, I'm mostly pissed I have to wait for my wife to wake up. drilling metal at 5am would not make her easier to interact with while we both work from home today. Also, waiting for a new file from Zach, he asked for a pull in second and drive file after I flashed a new tune.

He has had issues where the files I send cut off at :30 seconds. I sent Sunday's file again and he was able to use it but as a result I looked at it for the first time and saw two interesting fields, torque actual and torque demand. Actual maxed at 251 & demand was at 211 on that line. He seemed almost upset I looked at it and said the ECU was unable to determine power.

He's right though, the ECU is merely guessing what the power demands are in order to map fuel and timing.

Not suggesting I know anything. I just asked the question, either number seems way high.

Drilled the damn flange, got the gasket & flanges connected, small leak. It is much quieter, sounds like crap though.

I used these with good success on the Z, looking for the right one.

Permatex has a sealer you can use on flanges; might work if the leak is small.

I went to advance auto to find one of these for the skunk exhaust on the s2k...
turns out they have a little hidden area in the back with a file cabinet with all of their one off weird shit like exhaust gaskets...
ask to see what they have in there. I leafed through until I found one that worked for me.

Neither Autozone nor O'Reilly had anything but OEM adjacent.

36 for gaskets, 20 for shipping to get them Friday (also got the donut).

As I was falling asleep, it occurred I had a bunch of gaskets & things from the Z "in a Mishimoto silicone hose box"

I'll be damned, if the box wasn't exactly where I thought it was and contained several Remflex (& FelPro & other gaskets) including these that are the right size, one is in the car now, can't find out if it's leaking until the house wakes up.

No leaks!

Seems quieter, need to drive it to see how it is.

I also removed the Nameless hangers, they were transmitting a ton of NVH. Hopefully, it's better back to OEM.

Sounds horrible but is livable. There is a rasp seemingly coming from the midpipe area but the vibration is 90% gone and the car is livable.

Feels great though.

That rasp is pretty typical with these cars when running the factory axle back. Mine was terrible. It sounded like a piece of metal vibrating in the exhaust. I was hoping the helmholtz in yours would quiet it down.

Needs another resonator further down where the rasp is.

I wonder if you could actually get rid of the one up top if there was one further back?

lol

M, what is a reasonable asking price for just the Nameless 5" axleback?

663 + shipping +12.00x4 for the hangers & 6-8 week wait as they are made to order.

First freeway drive this morning, it's not horrible, no drone.

The issues are at low RPM. There is a rattle and it sounds like a 1973 Honda 75 I had when I was a kid.

I think I sold my 4" muffler setup for $300. I bought it for a steal though.

You can probably get $350-400 out of it.

I'm probably way off base though
