Trim pieces on the top of the doors are a bit sun damaged. They are 101 retail each, 87 discounted at Toyota dealers, (plus shipping) found them from UAE on eBay for 67 shipped.

Thay should have shipped last Wednesday, I was given tracking Monday, just shipped. I guess to save 40 bucks plus 20 shipping seeing as I don't "need" them it's ok.

Trim came, amazing that things can go from across the world in 2 days.

 

And I mailed a book from Houston to NC and it took 8 days.

Really good to see those showed up straight... I got a set of window trims that came in a mangled mess bent into a very complex 3D shape.

 

They were extremely well packaged. I'm glad too, kinda useless if they are bent.

 

Prius has a software recall, dealer is less than a mile from work so I drove it today, forgot how much I hate driving it.

 

Installed my Hertz tweeters, deadbolt hole saw was perfect!

 

There's the passenger side, not thrilled with the trim ring gap (on both sides) but the cover is not flat so it is what it is lol

 

Can you get a small washer and paint it black and sit it in that...or maybe like a small foam bulb gasket that you can trim to the exact size.

 

When I install the Pioneer amp for the speakers everything will come apart and I'll implement a solution. This is still running on the OEM amp.

The system actually sounded ok with just the addition of the HU & sub, the tweeters changed the sound a lot for the better.

 

Compressor was running due to a leak, wanted to deal with it at 4am, it was still 92.
It got down to 88 so I done did it. What a mess, throwing away the spare from the Z, the car cover from the 80 series Landcruiser, a drawer from the home entertainment cabinet that's been out there since 2006 and a slew of god knows why it's still here.


The culprit is the pressure switch, NLA from IR, found for 65 bucks plus tax & shipping from IAP, got it on eBay for 41 all in.




Still need to move stuff around until the switch comes.

Switch all disassembled, need to go to Home Depot and get a copper line made to replace the nylon one it had.

 

Switch came, went to Home Depot, got the sleeve & insert I needed, compressor fixed. Just need to put the cover on & tighten down the mount to the frame.

Originally I got it to take around for framing & painting, then I got the 10 gallon tank to use in the garage and for over a decade it's been bulletproof.

 

All buttoned up, no longer shoved in the corner where I can't get to it if it needs maintenance. I also changed the oil and cleaned it up.

Don't remember the last time the outside & inside were the same. It has been super windy & supposedly rained somewhere nearby, not here though.

 

We got a nice cool front in the form of high winds & heavy rain on Friday.

Only down side the module needs secondary programming I was unaware of so I had to send it back to Oklahoma.
