Would absolutely love to; hard to write reports for court deadlines while driving, though.

Dude, you're close enough to the border to hire a to do that shit for you while you're out driving.
Probably get a bump in pay for it being written in bilingual.

What was your commute before covid? Take that same amount of time to drive out to somewhere cool and do your work from there then drive home.

Well, I started my own firm in 2018 and started working out of my house at that point. Sooooo, the truly depressing part of COVID was that my life didn't change very much when the lock downs were put into place. I realized I really didn't have much of a life away from work.

Yeah, the car and I are going to need to have a long talk about our relationship once this is all over.

To be fair, I had reason to suspect this would be coming soon, but totally forgot to do something about it when the engine was already out.

That stinks, T. If it's not one thing... Is the HPFP easily changed out? I'm sure it's not a cheap part, but maybe at least the labor isn't too bad?

It's about a 6 hour job, so it will cost me a bit. Live and learn, man.

On the flip-side, I just got word from RK that I'm getting $7k (out of $8k) back on my core deposit. Apparently, my crankshaft was pretty badly damaged. I'm happy with the $7k, to be honest. That engine sounded TERRIBLE when I started it.

Helicopter is a good one. I thought it sounded like some beast with a big hammer hitting the inside of the engine compartment.

Looks like the cam shaft is out of spec; it's moving too much. Started setting off all kinds of sensors and now there are metal shavings in the oil.
