Well, I started my own firm in 2018 and started working out of my house at that point. Sooooo, the truly depressing part of COVID was that my life didn't change very much when the lock downs were put into place. I realized I really didn't have much of a life away from work.

You are not the only one.. My wife and i were just talking about friends the other night and the conclusion is Thanks to Covid, we pretty much dont have any real life friends anymore since we became very anti social

Sooooooooooooo, one of my old high pressure fuel pumps failed just as I hit the 1,000 mile mark. Ugh.

Yeah, the car and I are going to need to have a long talk about our relationship once this is all over.
To be fair, I had reason to suspect this would be coming soon, but totally forgot to do something about it when the engine was already out.

That stinks, T. If it's not one thing... Is the HPFP easily changed out? I'm sure it's not a cheap part, but maybe at least the labor isn't too bad?

On the flip-side, I just got word from RK that I'm getting $7k (out of $8k) back on my core deposit. Apparently, my crankshaft was pretty badly damaged. I'm happy with the $7k, to be honest. That engine sounded TERRIBLE when I started it.

It's about a 6 hour job, so it will cost me a bit. Live and learn, man.

New engine failed at 1,300 miles having not exceeded 3,500 RPMs during that time. Kill me. Kill me now.
