Thank you
Ya bastid
Trust me, coils will happen eventually. I've always done small stuff at first and worked up to the bigger stuff. Plus, the smaller stuff is easier to get approval from the wife
Thanks Jason! I hope all is well
Mine certainly has its flaws. Mostly rock chips and the idiot before me cut out the passenger side vent thing and it drives me crazy
One day! Thanks, Ross
I just had it done through work. I'm not overly impressed with the quality but it was $100
Also, here's a friendly reminder to replace your in-cabin air filter
I also received something in the mail today (inb4 coilovers yet?)

My rear lip spoiler arrived yesterday! I'm typically against replica parts but J spoke very highly about this product and I'm very impressed. The colormatch is perfect! It's not mounted yet...but soon.

Well, the time finally came to install the front lip. Before install, I had a clear bra installed since it seems that the lower part of my bumper is a magnet for rocks. You can barely tell it's on there!
Next, Chip (The Machine) assisted me in getting a powdercoated valve cover since he was having one done as well. I've always loved teal, even back when I had the TL, and I wanted to add it somehow. The wrinkle red never did much for me so this was the perfect item! He took these pictures for me before shipping.
And here are both items installed!
I went ahead and did a new valve cover gasket, tubes, and spark plugs while the cover was off.
Sadly, I haven't driven my S2000 in over two weeks. I returned home from my honeymoon last Sunday and severely sprained my right ankle doing yard work, resulting me in wearing a boot and not being allowed to drive. I'm returning next week for more x-rays since it's not feeling any better. A good friend that happens to be a co-worker has been kind enough to drive me to and from work, and we took the S2000 today to knock out these installs.
So what's next? I need to mount the rear lip spoiler, have a paint correction done, and save my pennies for coilovers. Technically I can afford the coilovers, but my wife controls the money and she's mean Truthfully, I've done enough to the car for now and would rather put some money into the house we bought last year.
I'm at 105,565 miles, which puts me at around 10,500 miles since purchase last year. I'm still in love with the car...I just wish I could drive it

I drove my car within 3 days of knee surgery...I don't follow no damn dr orders!
Should have seen me getting out of the S with crutches and the top up...
Looks awesome, Tyler...VERY nice! Amazing how such simple additions really start transforming the look of the car.

Where'd you go for the trip?

Looking good Tyler.
That teal looks very similar to the J's Racing valve cover teal. Either that or my monitor is just playing tricks on me.
Not that you want to hear this but a few years back I severly rolled and sprained my ankle while running on a wet pool deck. Yeah pretty stupid idea I know but I was going for more beer . It took probably 2 months for most of the pain to go away and was probably 6-9 months before I didn't have any more occasional pain to it. Ankle injuries suck. On the bright side at least it isn't your clutch foot or it might take a lot longer to get back in the S.

Thanks, Steven! It's frustrating but I'm hoping it'll heal quickly.
Well c wut had happen wuz....
I can barely walk so I figured driving wouldn't be much better
Thanks, J. I'm really happy with how everything turned out!
Exactly! Ugh.
How was Brazil?!
Thanks for the kind words
Thank you!
I'm glad someone noticed the socks
A part of me was concerned with the color of the cover clashing poorly with the car but I think it looks great!
Thank you, Sam! I'm not sharing any pictures
We did a 7-day cruise visiting the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk. It was great!
Thanks, Jason! The color is very similar to the J's Racing teal. It's not exact, but very close. Powdercoating the OEM cover was much cheaper than the alternative: Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: J's Racing Valve Cover - Honda S2000 AP1 Late Model
Ugh, I knew this would be a long ordeal. I've been wearing an air boot since last Monday and it hasn't gotten much better.

That looks awesome bro! I actually really like the new valve cover, it's really unique looking and fits well with the rest of the car.

Yours may heal faster cause I am stuburn and just stayed off it for like 4 days and then just wore a pair of boots I had that went above my ankle. I never actually got a brace like you have.

When I got in my car versus road bike accident, i was in an air boot for a month. Orthopedic surgeon did xray and MRI and said: Partial torn tibial tendon.
It'll be two years a week from today and my ankle still not 100% It'll never be the same again.
The ankle has so many damn tendons and ligaments and small muscles... Good luck on the heal sir!

I will repeat what I said in the recent photos thread. The valve cover looks amazing. Nice work young man! Now heal up (pun intended) so you can drive the S.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm trying to take it easy but I like being productive too much
See, I told you it would happen eventually!
Thanks, Ryan!
Today was the first time I had driven the S2k in over 3 weeks. While my ankle certainly isn't great, I couldn't resist the urge to take the car for a quick spin.
I missed driving this car SO much. I like the Tacoma, but I LOVE this damn S2k. Hell, I'll take a RCF or GSF to Cars and Coffee and still get excited about driving the S2k home
Also, don't browse Amazon when you're bored at work. I ended up ordering this oil cap for $25-ish since the OEM one looked out of place. I think it matches the silver on the spark plug cover quite nicely!
It came with a CF decal that I'm not sure I'm sold on. While I do use Mobil 1, I don't need to be reminded of it Plus there's no other CF for it to match with.
Now you're probably wondering how I got those super-awesome pictures of my valve cover without any shadows. If you weren't...now you are. My hood went hella-JDM style, allowing me full access
This is what the cool Honda kids do nowadays, isn't it?
I'll be back to driving the truck this week while the S2k waits in the garage. It's a shitty feeling but I don't want to rush the recovery. Also, during the hibernation, there's a strong possibility that new parts will be coming from another Acurazine member within the next week or so
