For testicular standards, that's rather cheap.

Oh how I wish the Jeep has the same projectors. It might as well have wax candles in comparison to the the S2k headlights.

Yeah, it's a microphone from the headunit.
Well, not all news is good news. During my last oil change, I discovered that the oil drain plug had been over-torqued, resulting in some threads inside of the oil pan being stripped. With the OEM plug installed, it would tighten to a point, but continue to spin. Not the best news to have, but alas, getting a longer plug seemed to stop the leak. I got the car home and didn't drive it for 5 days due to heavy rain. When I backed the car out of the garage for a wash, I saw this on my garage floor:
Fuck.
So now what? Get that oil off of my damn floor I cleaned it up and put an old, folded box on the ground. This is how much leaked out before I found a fix.
A former Honda tech at work said due to the oil pans being aluminum, stripped threads happen somewhat often. He sourced me a slightly oversized bolt from a local dealership with a tapered end that basically rethreads the pan when inserted. We drained the oil, inserted the new bolt, and let the car idle for about 20 minutes...no leak. Then I took it for a 15 minute test drive...no leak. I took it to work yesterday, about 72 miles round-trip...no leak. So it's fixed; but for how long?
I'm concerned that the same bolt won't seal after my next oil change...which would result in me needing a new oil pan. I get dealership pricing, but it's still not cheap. We'll see what happens, but at least the car is back on the road and the oil is staying inside my engine
And no I'm still not lowered

You could probably get a better baffled aftermarket oil pan for the price the dealer charges for the OEM one I would imagine.

I know that. He was still saying it wasn't cheap though. So either it really isn't cheap or he just is being a girl about it

Also.. that tapered oversized plug is probably okay. But I would retap with a helicoil kit if possible.

That tapered plug may not be a sufficient rethread.
I'd rather have an achored helicoil in there that is locked in with solid threads for the bolt to follow.
My concern is that tapered plug has pushed too much material for a standard pan helicoil.
You'll probably need to tap it with a larger one.
A good helicoil should last a very long time.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I'll most likely re-tap during the next oil change, though I've heard of these plugs doing just fine over an extended period of time.
