The speed limit was 55! Plus, it was gorgeous outside, so I wasn't in a rush to get home
Of course! But I can't take photos while I'm driving on those

Wow just caught up! Glad your car is better Tyler!! The rain/flash flood didn't hit Raleigh as bad when I was in town the last couple weeks but apparently Charlotte got the bulk of it... All good now though or as they say..."water under the bridge"...
Or was it "water in the engine"
Or was it "water in the engine"

Thank you
Water was over the bridges in some areas and certainly in my engine

I know you're speaking from your experience with me, so I trust you
I'm seriously in love with this car. Days with no plans turn into driving days. I'll go drive around for an hour on roads that I've never been on before. I nearly ended up in South Carolina last week and had to use the GPS to get home
The S2k is intoxicating. You won't regret it.

Although to be fair, SC isn't too far from you.
Yeah I'm sure I'll love it if/when I get it... Just got to make sure I'm more comfortable with the stick (read: dick), and find the right one at the right price... Plus gotta make sure all my financial ducks (read:dix) are in a row and I'll jump... The one TylerT posted is seriously so close but not in budget nor the year I want. Plus the red interior I'm not much of a fan.. In the words of my gf, "much rice".. To each their own of course, low mileage, clean... I'm sure someone will love it and pick it up..
In the meantime, I'll keep practicing aka burning my gf's brother's clutch and keep shopping..

Aye. Aye. Fukk yew bruh. SC is hella far
I hadn't driven a manual in over 4 years when I test drove the S2k I didn't stall but I wasn't used to the short throws. I went from 5th to 2nd once and nearly shat myself.
I like the idea of the all-red interior, but I don't think I would own it. The red and black looks cool, but the all black is simple and classy
Thank you!
Thanks J!
Indeed I am a pro
Yeah, I have the Bojangles lowering kit. It's the only thing that lowers the car AND is edible
Thanks Ryan! Those two weeks were hell.

Holy crap, I just read the hydro-lock story. You had to have been devastated. Very glad to hear the insurance company took care of you.

Thank you Tim! I was heartbroken to say the least. I was nauseous and barely slept or ate. I've been dreaming of a S2k for 12 years and that happened after just a month
The insurance company was fantastic. They didn't care about the aftermarket intake and had payment sent to me in less than a week. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, but I still feel shitty that it happened in the first place.

Erie. I had never heard of them before my fiancee bought a vehicle, but they're great. Everyone I spoke to was extremely personable and seemed truly sorry about what happened. Plus, I pay about $60/mo for the S2k Granted, I do sort of live in the sticks.

Dang, seems you have a great situation there. I suggest - don't ever piss them off.

Did you not receive a flash flood warning on your phone?
This must have been that one day when it finally fucking rained and it was the wrath. You need to snapchat things like this bruh. Silly ass penguin.

I'm not even mad It's true.

I was embarrassed, ashamed, sad, etc. Plus I wasn't sure what insurance was going to do, so I didn't want to start discussion on something that I didn't have the answers to yet.

<p>Nah penguin.... what you gotta tell people is you were trying to test out this new innovative engine cooling method.. Type 2 coolant through the radiator just wasn't cutting it... </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>It's akin to water cooling on a computer <img alt="" src="https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/bitelip.gif" title="Bite Lip" />. You non-nerds wouldn't understand.....<img alt="" src="https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/embarrassment.gif" title="<img src=" />" </p>

Where exactly did this happen? I want to street view it so I can get an idea of how this water came at you from the side.

Heavy rain is no joke.
We got a massive dump of rain yesterday and saw several storm drains completely clogged leaving 4-6 inches of water in some spots. You guessed it - I went the long way, I thought of this thread several times when I was driving and avoided city streets like the plague.

Wowzers totally missed your hydrolock story. That's great that you were covered even witt the AEM V2 on there! I had the V2 on my Accord and it scared me to death driving in Arizona because when it rains there it tends to flood with very deep puddles so I actually cut my V2 about 5" back so it still extended down but just not as far. Sounds like things worked out great for you though. Are you going to replace the stock intake with another aftermarket eventually? Maybe not a cold air though lol?
