The Subaru thread

Post 'em if you got 'em!

nothing fancy. I'm actually rocking my snowboard rack with only one bike rack now, so the car looks a little different currently.

Not much snow in Bend, eh? My car looks like shit right now. But that's a very clean and tidy Legacy. I like what you did to it.

My buddy has been shopping for a new car. Just went with him to check out the legacy 2.5 SE. Offering like 3k off sticker!

Even the LegacyGT is such a bargain!

Nice pics Matt.... How much did you lower the ride height, and did you alter the stock GT setup? Just curious.

Mine is a bit higher, but I like the stiff ride of the spec B suspension...

Change the thread title to the Legacy owners thread......

And for those that are thinking of one, just take a test drive.....

Thanks guys. Yes I did have Prodrives for my summer wheels but I sold them. They looked great on the car but after running them for 3 seasons I decided it was time for a change. I'll probably pick up something new for next summer, something lighter this time.

I'm running JDM STi pink springs. I think the provide the perfect drop, and they still ride pretty well. I'll be adding Koni's to them this spring.

I haven't had any trouble being lowered, and my car gets used like a Suby should.

Alright has anyone done a comparison between the Legacy 2.5 SE to the Lancer GTS?

Or is the GTS more inline with the imprezza?

If I could get any car right now it'd be an LGT Wagon, those cars are absolutely amazing! Not that I don't like the sedan, I tend to like it more, but the wagon would be a bit more useful for me.

Is a 2005-2006 Audi S4 worth the $5-7k more than a 2005-2006 Legacy GT?

I've seen LGT's for ~$15k with low mileage and I've seen B6 S4's for $19-23k with similar mileage.

Rock: Take some pics and put them on here.....

Crazy : It seems like the 2.5SE and the Lancer GTS are somewhat comparable, but the Legacy is a bigger car, so an Imprezza (the 2009 4 door sedan is coming soon to the US) is more like in size and mission.

On my car, it is the specB option. The suspension is a reverse strut setup with Bilstein shocks. I also get a Torsen LSD in the rear, the wheels, and DVD Navigation. There's a little bit of a flame war between specB owners and those that don't on legacyGT.com, but I could give a shit.

more pics

More pics..... The old Saber and the new Leg....

And after a cleaning.

More will follow....

Mrsteve: IMO, I think it is. The S4, if well taken care of and not rode like a bitch in heat, should be a really good car.

There just is no brotherhood involved when it comes to teh Audi's. The again I live in the Pac NW and Subaru's are > * around here.

I like how in the BMW thread they won't post pics if their cars are dirty.

down and dirty is how we roll.

You know, I haven't gone that far with mine, as the weather here is warm year round (plus my Bridgestone RE050A's would slide like a pole dancer in heat).

I'll try and get some dirty shots, but until then clean ones....

OZLiberty.com = Aussie/NZ Legacy car site (they call it a Liberty because Legacy is the name of a WWII veterans group).

Also Cobbtuning.com has lots of goodies. If you want to mod, get the 2.5 GT/specB. If smooth power and some better luxuries are your thing then get a 3.0R. If you get a super deal, then anything else in the Legacy line.
