Can Subaru just stick in a new FA20DIT engine into this and bring it over here?
Honestly, I think Subaru should have marketed the Legacy with a standard 3 or or the new 3.6 with a 6 to 8 speed auto or a 6MT.
Where they also missed the boat is going after the Camry/Accord and doing it with a so-so interior, a CVT, and styling that pegs the bland meter. 2008 and 2009 were the banner years for the Legacy GT. They could fix this with the Levorg coming over as a special Legacy version.

Just a thought.
Agreed with this. I want to love Subaru, but the sedans leave much to be desired. They should take more cues from the BRZ, even though we know that's a Toyota-developed body.
I still love the car. 58K Kilometers. 9 years old and still running well. Time for new tires and a tune up in the next few weeks, plus a full oil change, maybe a tranny service (no homo)
