and i shouldve known about my knee, it was like that when i had my old yota pickup. i just thought it wouldve been easier to live with in car since the clutch in my old truck was as stiff as can be.
i guess throwing freight at a store doesnt help either. my knees are pretty thrashed.

Ha ha that's the reasoning I used to get rid of my Accord (although I loved that car) to get the MS6. Needed 4 doors and room for a baby car seat. I don't know how tall you are but if you're 6' or under you can actually fit a baby car seat in the back of the MS3 with plenty of room up front. Me being 6'3" it wasn't happening.

Sorry for your knee problem man.
Sounds like you need some comfortable family sedan with an automatic transmission.
If you don't like the road noise and whatnot, don't get a performance car whether it'd be hatchback, sedan, or coupe. Your car has a lot of road noise because it's a performance oriented car with a set of performance tires, not because it's based on a economy car.
Good luck man. Let us know if we can help in any sorta way.

i wish my gf still had her 01 Camry.
i wouldve bought that before the mazda. she sold it for 6k. V6, JBL sound, 61k miles and outstanding mileage
it was a gma car but it would have sufficed until was able to get that newer luxury sedan i really wanted.
i sure as hell wouldnt have had a car payment thats for sure

The baby must have been directly behind your seat then because with our baby seat in the middle of the back seat I don't have to move my seat at all.

It is truly amazing how much space car seats take up. Check out this thread where 3G TL owners (myself included) were struggling with car seat placement:

Well we do have one that is supposed to be smaller that most. It's much cheaper buying a new car seat than a new car lol. I did have to return the first one we purchased to get the one we have now because it was a tiny bit smaller than the first one. It didn't make a difference in the MS3 but thankfully it just barely fits in the MS6 without me having to change my seat position.
Oh I totally know. I probably test fit our first car seat into 5 different models of sedans trying to find one that would work. As I said above I returned that first one to get one that was supposedly smaller (which it really wasn't) which still didn't work in the MS3 that wanted to buy. They are huge, even the ones that are supposed to be compact.

I'm so confused. Did you buy the MS3 site unseen without ever driving the car? I mean it's a compact entry level performance hatchback that has road noise and few creature comforts. If you're so opposed to that kind of car fitting your persona why did you ever consider the MS3 and more importantly why did you actually purchase one, might I had, in a color you dislike? Were you pressured into buying it from someone you knew or something? To admit you'd rather buy an older Camry over an MS3, that's just . I'm just trying to understand how it happened.
the tranny was acting up again, both HID ignitors were going out, and it has 187k.
i had driven two other MS3s at the time and like them. i found mine for a great price and chose not to pass it up. no, black wasnt my first choice, but iwanted a car that had some power, which is the reason why i dumped the idea of getting a regular Mazda3 hatch. the car i bought i was priced 3k less than what others i looked at were priced.
I had really considered buying my gfs car because it was dirt cheap to insure and operate, had low miles, and wouldve been paid off within a year. i had originally tried to sell the TL for the camry, but with the situation with the TL needing work, i chose not to deal with and just trade it in as is, rather than dump the money into it, and get a minimal return once it was sold privately. i had the TL for sale twice before and had nothing but lowballers and flakes, and i owed on it.
so fixing up the TL and selling at the time would have put me upside down on the loan. the dealer offered me 5k for the TL(which is almost what i was asking for it on my own), i made 1200 on the trade and used the equity on the trade as a down payment.
as far as the car not fitting me, this was all of a week ago. the more and more i drove it (i drive 400+ miles a week) the more and more i kinda got tired of it.

things the TL needed as of trading in:
-new windshield
-new HID ignitors (found used ones for cheap, usps lost them) got quoted 600/each for new
-tranny?
-front and side motor mount
-new front rotors
-both front and rear defrosters worked like shit.
-possible fuel issue
service within the next year:
timing belt
spark plugs
water pump
and whatever else decide to break.
in the 4 years i had my TL, i mustve put well over 5k in upkeep into it. and the reoccurring tranny issue was just too much to deal with, thats why i was in a big hurry for a new car

Understood, so there was pressure to trade it in and get something quick, because you couldn't risk something major happening or waiting until all that other stuff had to be fixed in order for the TL to be operational. I totally get it.
Well all I can say is deal with it for a while and in the meantime save for what you'd really want. At least it's an entertaining car you're stuck with verses something boring and slow. Who knows, maybe you'll have another change of heart after spending more time with it. Some cars can grow on you after a while, you never know.

Here's something for you to get motivation
Just so you know, this is just regular 3..... if you do anything like this on your car, it will look so much more nicer.

I don't know what's wrong with me these days, but there's just something about these lime green rims on black cars.
I would not mind running those lime green rpf1s in 17x9 with meaty tires on my car.
