It opens the hood when you pop the release in front, and doesn't get in the way as much as a hood prop

What Costco said. Kinda like your trunk. Only the SRTs come with the struts stock. One member of the club had an extra set and said he trade me for a case of bud light bottles. I got off pretty cheap Mopar struts are 50 bucks.

Was watching Vanishing Point last night. Now I'm on a Challenger kick. I want one sooo bad. There's a red one for sale in this shady looking used car dealership in my neighborhood. Wonder what they are asking for it.

Did you guys see they are renting them at Enterprise also? The one near JFK airport had 2 silver ones in the lot, I pass there every morning. No doubt they are the V6, but why get a Challenger as a rental?

Dont know, its not an expensive mod. Its one I'll do later down the line.

My club is having their annual meeting at the end of the month at one of our members shops...who is an amazing mopar mechanic/fabricator/customizer. I'll be a getting a dyno to have a baseline before I do any more mods.

Plus I need to get another movie or two so I can have the money to do the mods I want.

At a quick glance, nothing I am using the stock tips.

Underneath, the mufflers are larger (flowmaster super 44) and the resonators are gone, which leaves huge opens areas in the back of the car.

On this car the mufflers are in the middle of the car, what you see at the back of a stock car are the resonators.

Oh...and to add, the car arrived oct 31 (so 2.5 months now) with 3-4 miles on it. I currently have 2800 miles, just had my first oil change last week. And I dont drive her everyday. Once maybe twice a week. I just drive her on cruises and right back home to the safe garage.

The car is gorgeous man...of all the retros...
The mustang was a crowd favorite at first...but whatever...overdone.
The camaro...strong strong strong in my book but might have been because of the Transformers movie. Although the SS one is gorgeous.
The challenger is my personal favorite. I've seen a few lowered a little (to me the car looks top heavy so lowering it looks good) and my goodness...those things are smooth looking.

Good work! Any more HDR looking shots of her, overall?

Well I'm not that into the SLR scene and photoshop but usually when I've seen super dramatic colors I've been told it's HDR. Either way, great pics man.

And I gotcha...don't want to have evidence of the mistress for the wife to stumble upon. Smart man.

the point being?

There was an issue with some 08/09 models have bad fobiks which would not recognize the fob. Most were fixable by popping the button off and inserting the key and resetting the system. Some needed new fobiks. A few were lemoned (most likely cause the dealer's service centers didnt think to replace the fobik.)

Its electronics, shit happens. Lets not crap up my thread with garbage.

They seriously lemoned a few of them cos the fob couldn't be detected? I'll take a chally with a non working fob for cheap please.

Is it installed? pix? I know its not functional which kinda blows, but are you going to do anything to rectify that? You got it in black or white, glad you finally got it, I know youve been waiting!

You check out the SCC yet? We are having our annual meeting on Sunday. I'm going to get two dyno runs...assuming the weather is good. If it sucks I'm taking the truck.

I know you had to lemon your car over the issue. I'm very curious if they had tried to replace the fobik. Some of the service departments are very clueless about this car.

yah man i was dissapointed when i got the hood and realized it wasnt functional. its still in the box till i paint it...im hopin to paint it in the next couple weeks at most...ive thought about cuttin on the hood under the scoop to make it functional but cuttin on a $1200 aluminum hood is very sketchy.

i dont remember if i told u or not with my orange car but they did replace the keys, many of the antennas and even the moduals in the dash (wynn modual..sp?) and i kept having the issue..wierd thing is,it would only do it during the summer hot days, at night or cool weather it wouldnt do it..hoping i dont get any suprises with this car next summer but im sure its fine.

i DID check out SCC...do u expect alot of challengers to show to this meet? where is it?

I didnt know what they tried to replace. But hey its over now and you got white. Which is more rare than orange!

By the way they announced Furious Fuscia as the next limited color.

Not sure what suggest about the hood. There are people looking to mod it.

I think there are going to be about 30 challengers there, members only for this one. Basically out lying the last year and what we hope to accomplish this year. Its in Anaheim.

You SHOULD sign up the annual LX fest at Chrysler in Irvine in March!!! There will be HUNDREDS of LX platform cars and we are trying to get 2-300 challengers there if we can. This is a big event and corporate sponsored I believe, or at least they make presence.

Our club had its first annual meeting today. Part of the fun was getting to have my car run on the dyno.

2 runs (too many cars to get 3 per car)

Max HP: 343
Max Torque: 378

Not too shabby for stock...I dont count my exhaust for performance, I'd need a real catback to see any gains.

Hi David

Did you watch Barrett-Jackson on Sunday when those two Sanderson/Barris Challengers were offered?

At my hotel this week I ended up talking to a guy that turned out to be the owner of both cars.
