The diner shots are awesome. That black paint has a lot of metallic in it. I like!!!

Although my question/comment to Sarlacc on weight may appear non-genuine for "whatever" reason, my comments are valid and serious. The challenger looks (and is overweight) and this truly is an un-sportscar-like trait. Not only does it kill its performance further (its already underpowered in 5.7L form), but it ruins it's ability to compete with its competition in braking, handling, and acceleration. The Mustang is getting better with the new 5.0 coming out, and the challenger "is just there." I just dont see the challenger surviving another generation.

You think 398 lb-ft of torque along with 370 horsepower is underpowered?
Have you looked at the weight of the GT-R? Would you consider that un-sportscar like?

Gorgeous... just beautiful pictures...
I'm thinking of driving out to lancaster next saturday to take some pictures of my car as well.. did you use that CPL filter you just got?
I really want to take pictures of my car with desert background but can't seem to find a good place to do that. Do you know any good locations?

Yes. This is underpowered with that heft it has to drive around (over 4,000 lbs). 0-60 in barely under 6 seconds and a 14.1 second 1/4 mile is EXTREMELY underwhelming in anything considered a "sports car." Sorry. You guys have lower standards than I do and that's understandable.

Doc just go away. I read your last epic thread and I am unimpressed. Just take your vette and go. Sarlacc and some other folks know I am one person that can put your vette under the table. If your going to post in here just be cool. Isn't that what it is all about? I never here you talk about the Acura you own.
Dan1629, I would LOVE to see what you have that puts my Vette under the table. It sure isnt your TL. As far as my TL, I never drive it as I live mostly in my apt in Manhattan and dont need to drive as much as of late. I probably have the lowest mile 04 TL on the forums (37K miles). It will be put for sale soon. It really isnt as special to me anymore. Having a Vette does that....

I wasnt going to respond for the sake of ending the bickering, but I will end with one thing. Sarlacc has ruined numerous threads of mine with his childish attacks (I will save you guys the quotes) prior to me ever saying one thing negative about his ride. I respect other peoples vehicles because we all love our rides. However, I needed to set some facts straight about the challenger since he feels free to state his opinions in my threads. It has come in DEAD LAST in so many comparos vs. its competitors that it's getting pretty sad. Being unable to break into the 13s in a car that identifies itself as a "muscle car" is dismal. This is reality.

And you must share your info with BannedStonerCL. I've posted before that several stock spd Challengers are running mid 13s in the 1/4 mile. And the automatics are even faster. And while the Challenger usually finishes 3rd, its not because the reviewers didnt love the car, because they do. Bag on the car all you want, its going to get my goat, just make your information is correct (and it usually isn't so I guess its par for the course.)
And and trying to go after Dan...arrogance and ignorance know no bounds.

You ruined your own threads the instant you hit the "post" button.

Ohh and one more thing, I dont think its just me but when people buy cars its not always about stats. If it were always about numbers why would anyone buy lets say a M3 over a GTR. The GTR pretty much destroys it in every performance category. Why did that doc even buy a corvette over the GTR? Its about what appeals to your personality and what you just fall for. BTW I despise the GTR haha, I will take a M3 over it anyday
Great car Sarlacc

I think all of us realize what constitutes a "sports car", and I think that most of us can agree that acceleration is only a small part of the equation. I've had a thing or two in the garage that were quicker than the numbers you mention, but I certainly wouldn't consider them to be a sports car. And I certainly don't consider anyone to have anything slower than I do to somehow have "lower" standards.

Ohh and most sports cars today are overweight! Some more than others of course. Damn safety features Who needs airbags anyway, like Jeremy once said, Power out is the way to go

Yea, I noticed that too after I did more digging but I promised Mr. MS3 that I was going to ignore him. Nonetheless your car is bad-a$$. Can't wait for the opportunity to see it in person someday.
410 lb-ft. My car only has 270 so I can't even begin to imagine how much an extra 140 feels like.

Looks good David! It looks like it's had a nice drop and wheels. Stance looks perfect. Wheels look factory Challenger. Did you have them chromed?

Wheels are the chrome clad factory option...
Basically, SMS made a big fubar on getting parts and scheduling me...so they called this morning and offered to swap my wheels.
I THOUGHT I was getting the 20" chrome Heritage wheels that come with the RT classic edition, but it was a misunderstanding on my part.
I'm not huge on chrome, but these look good for now, and I can always sell them for something else later.
PS: Both the SMS suspension (shocks, springs, sways) and the wheels...plus install = no cost to me
