I think I found the source of my low rpm power rob based on the last of the CEL I have...and likelihood that it's intact after 186K miles.
Ordered a new one...

Also, got the rear window actuator swapped, car locks now.
Funny, every youtube I saw looked like a giant PITA with window frame removal etc. Turns out my A3 has an access panel you can remove to get to it. I guess since it's such a failed part, they made it easier to get to.


and here, my cousin stopped by with his GTI and his new wheels. Looking damn good!

 

what kind of cuck company makes an access panel knowing you are going to have to change the part out that often... one that puts in crappy parts???

Those wheels are perfect on the GTI.

 

Good call on the DV. If that is still the original part, there's a good chance it's not holding boost. Your cousin's GTI looks great with those wheels! I've always liked those on the MK6's.

 

I'm honestly jealous of his car...the color, how it looks and sounds. I'm so proud of him!

Do you have the K03sport turbo in there? When I had my TT, I was boosting 25psi and holding about 20. Spooled up pretty quick since it is a super small snail but was super fun to drive!

Upgrade to a FMIC. Stock SMIC stay warm and we all know what warm air does. Before the FMIC I couldn't touch my Intake manifold, afterwards it was so cool to touch. Made a huge improvement. Just make sure your couplers are tight. I blew off one on the freeway and thought I blew up my motor from the sound it made!

 

I don't know how long you plan on staying in ze Audi game but VCDS can tell you what kind of boost you're making vs what's requested with a legit ODB2 cable.

Ahem, get a Ross-tech cable so you can use it on your future B8.5 S4

but got the diverter valve swapped out. Immediately feel the torque and lack of bogging down low and the turbo just seems "stronger".
Cleared the codes, let's see if it holds (although the temp sensor not displaying might still kick it).

Also, ordered some aftermarket rear inner tail lenses...the red film looks "off" to me. Gonna have the airbag recall done and see if they'll remove the airbag light and if all goes to plan, I'll be CEL free...perfect timing to sell it!

Old diverter was the rubber bellow style...long since busted, I'm sure...dripping oil and all.
