The Official Wagon/Avant Discussion Thread
Of course, the M6 Gran Coupe I really want is North of $120k.

So, with the pricepoint much higher, it does separate out the herd a bit...and allow those who want an "affordable" BMW to go buy a 1 or 2-Series?
Well, in SOME ways, I could see this as a positive in the long run as for awhile, the 3-Series was a dime-a-dozen car to be honest.

Indeed. During dinner last night, my 8-year old son blurted out - "Wouldn't it be awesome if M5s were only $5?! I bet Dad would have one again!"
Yep. Good kid. Looking out for his Dad.
Sunday night, I helped him assemble this wooden pull-back car kit from Lowes he needed to do for Cub Scouts. Instead of using the stickers that came with the car, he went out to the garage to look at my car and used crayons to "paint" his car to match mine, complete with hand-drawn roundels on the front and back. Made me proud.

M6GC. I want one with a 6MT. I think it's BMWs best current design.
They are though. Just wait for the first schmuck to run his warranty out and they'll be just as expensive as a loaded Accord

DAMN! For not much more than $60k you can get a CTS-V wagon. More power, more fun, more character, and more room than a 3-series tourer. The 3 tourer is nice-looking, though. Just not $60-70k nice.

(well, 'cept the part where Pops doesn't know what a Porsche 911 GT1 is...
) I hope my son is like that when he's that age...

That BMW is sexy. I like the Volvo as well!

) and it was nearly $60k.
