Right, residual can't be negotiated (that's set by the manufacturer). But if Audi dealers are discounting the car for outright purchases, then you should be able to get a better lease deal by negotiating the full price further down.

I have always hated the way E60 looks... now i actually think it looks uniquely good in its own way.
That V10 is still one of the best, if not the best sounding engine/exhaust!!

If the front end was a smidge longer .. I think I'd like it a lot more
Proportionally, it feels like it was put into a can crusher and they slapped a CLA badge on it.

^ Agreed.
I'm not sure the CLA SB would be a hit here, with the GLA selling next to it.
But, bring back the C-Estate. Sadly, we only got it in the W203 & only in sad C240 guise.

The C63 and RS4 longroofs would be at the top of my list if they were available here. The E63 and RS6 are gorgeous but I can't justify the price for a new one, so neither manufacturer is expanding their customer base there.
I feel like so many people are turning to the smaller sport crossovers (X3M, Stelvio, GLC, etc) because there isn't a wagon in that price point. I hate to admit it, but even I've added the X3M to the list because it is basically a sporty wagon at the price point I want, just with a higher seating position and worse gas mileage.

the manuf. have tried and failed with many attempts... Wagon in the US just wont sell... i mean if you were them, you probably would not bring them to the US either anymore.

What attempts? Most of the attempts at the wagon market were half assed at best. The Regal TourX? Really? A Buick wagon is not going to get people to go back. Then the VW sportwagen, which actually did sell just fine, was ruined by dieselgate and then the shit versions of the Jetta that came after. The only earnest attempt at the market were the 3 series wagon and the A4 avant which I thought both sold pretty well. Either way, at this point the only ones who are going to buy wagons in any appreciable numbers are the average enthusiasts (like us) not the ones buying a $120k E63S or RS6.

I moved last weekend and my parents helped out and I got to drive their Allroad while hauling stuff. 2015 model year with 104k+ miles and I forgot how peppy the engine feels for the size of this wagon. I really love this car and they do, too. I'm glad they've kept it. It's been problem-free for them.

Hell I'd take a C43 AMG at this point. That would probably be the sweet spot in terms of bang for your buck. I too have added the X3M to my list but like the GLC63 a lot more because it just looks more like a hatch than a SUV. Unfortunately you have to get a 2020+ to get the better MBUX system over the crappy comand system so used options are slim. Also, the GLC depreciates like crazy, I'm sure the X3M won't be different either so wait a year or two and pick one up CPO for half off.

It is not because they dont offer, it is because there is no need for it anymore (replaced by SUV and Minivan), therefore no demands and no supplies.
I dont think F3X Touring sold well at all... i cant remember the last time i saw one on the road... You know it is bad when BMW didnt even bother to put a 6 cylinder engine in the US models.

The A4/C/3/V60 series are the right size for a sporty wagon. I just need to stop paying one kids tuition (1 more year) and helping with 1 kids rent (yep, I'm a sucker). Then I can sell the Volvo and go with a wagon.

A4 - 2.0T. Not bad for the car but not really inspiring.
F30 - again, shitty packaging
Volvo's - gorgeous, probably the best seats of any car, but again - uninspiring engine. Downside - expensive.
Tour-X - lol
The manufacturers don't need to offer twin turbo V8s with manuals and 3.5s 60mph runs in a wagon body to excite customers, because thats too expensive and won't sell. They need to meet us somewhere in the middle. Give us the S4 Avant, M340 wagon, etc.

This is a bit of a chicken or the egg argument, but when you look at the sub-$70k wagons that have come out in the past 10 years, how many weren't kneecapped by the manufacturers? I count one; the CTS-V. The TSX was 4 cylinder only. You could get the v6 in the sedan, and it was decently quick. But 4 cylinder only for the wagon.

BMW has migrated to SUVs but still makes wagons for Europe. Mercedes sells the lovely E class wagon, but that is quite costly. Only Audi (Allroad) and Volvo make a mid size wagon worth a damn. So even the pedestrian A4 could be offered with the S-Line package, and make the 2.0L 300HP (not offered but can be done). Plenty of power and could be priced right at $40-45K. And they could try a limited run (they already make the A4 Avant for the rest of the world, and use mostly NHTSA approved parts (like DOT glass) anyway.
The RS4 Avant, sold in Germany, has roughly 450 HP. And is priced at a cozy $92,000 before you add options. As they say in Korea, Ho Lee Fook.
