LMAO...holy shit, I need to find this picture of my 2 70 pound dogs on their dog bed in the passenger seat. Was awesome...all the chicks on the drive down were honking and smiling and waving...then I realized they probably thought I was gay

the former, and the present..
the S is nowhere near complete as my AV6 was... but it'll get there... have some other stuff taking precedence right now.
also, don't have my Nikon anymore as you can see lol

anyone else's dipstick periodically pop loose? it seems like the last couple of times I've pulled it, (and I made sure to mentally check it was pushed in before closing the hood) it has popped out just enough to wiggle around.
easiest way to say it, is its popping up beyond the o-ring near the top of the puller handle.

My S2000 mechanic at Infinite Motion says it's a common issue and that's the easiest fix.
Or replace the O-ring, your choice

I don't mind needles, except when they're in a weird position.
Evo X gauges make it seem like you're going a lot slower until you actually look down.
BRZ gauges have the same issue... with the digital MPH I don't even look at the speedo.

The 180 trick is a good one or a safety wire.

im a little but hurt that it scratched a little of my wrinkle red finish on the valve cover (it was literally faultless before) but at least you cant see it when the stick is put back in place.
the more I read last night, the more I realized its a common issue. im gonna get some new O-rings when I have time and put everything back in place as normal.
also, the PCV was in good shape.

Honda really squeezed everything they could out of that engine and there really isn't much gains available. The K&N fipk is relatively cheap at $250 and may produce about 5-7 hp, aem intake gives roughly the same but filter location has been a problem when you hit a puddle of water. There are many other intakes available but the power gains to $$ is insane ($1,000 for ark system). Most exhaust systems produce little to no power and in many cases loses power and increases drone, invidia n1, spoon and a very limited amount of systems produces about 5-10 hp but are pretty loud. Spend some time on s2ki.com and you will find that many of the aftermarket parts produce little to no power and quite often you lose power.
The Coyote 5.0 is so mod friendly it's ridiculous. Spending $1k in mods will add more than 100whp to the car no problem. Even simple things like an intake will add 25-30whp. Only downside is needing to buy rear tires in bulk.
My only reservation about the S2k is if I buy one and regret not getting the Mustang, not sure if I'd have the same regret the other way around. The downside to the Mustang is that it would be double the cost at least.

A Mustang would make a superior daily driver - more power & torque, much more comfortable, taller gearing, better stereo, etc.
But there's no doubt that a 5.0 Mustang will never feel the same as an S2000 - being nearly 600 pounds lighter, the steering feel and overall responsiveness of the car is what makes it special.
Having driven both, I would just rather own both

I love this.
Yep. They are different.
I love both A LOT.
Would love to own a Mustang some day, but I would look so weird in it.
A skinny Asian in 5.0?
Mustang / S2000 - apples to oranges really.

Yeah, I'm a bit tall in the torso. I might get lower seat rails someday.

I'm 6'2 and I remember a year ago when I was first interested in getting a s2000 I sat in one and got out immediately because I felt as if I did not fit. About 6 months later a buddy of mine got one and I drove it. I was sold and the fact that I couldn't find another car that was suitable for my needs, a week later I had one in my garage. As mentioned above, the stop light is an issue sometimes but that's a small price to pay for pure awesomeness

I drove 3 hours one way to test drive mine...almost didn't buy it. Felt cramped and tight and harsh.
Now, i love it. I get in the TL and i'm like...why all this wasted space, I have REACH to rest my elbow on the door! Perception is everything

6'3 here. Couldn't see stop lights until I got an aftermarket bucket seat with super low seat rails. Best mod ever. Puts me at a normal driving position and the seat is super comfortable too (Sparco Sprint V on buddy club super low down rails). The seat also costs about the same as the backyard special rails for the stock seat

The "Bumblebee" generation is way more popular among Asians, but you rarely saw an Asian in an F-Body. Who cares?

I don't care...I wouldn't let ethnicity be a factor. Although all Cubans love Mustangs...but that's just a fact.
Tommy, good info, man...also been in touch with Brian. Cool dude...not sure I'm ready to pull the trigger but I appreciate the direction.

I'm 6.1 and my s2 was 3.5" from the ground so getting in and out was a bit of a challenge and inside is a bit cozy but all is forgiven within a few minutes, best shifter i have used (1st to 2nd takes a bit of practice in AP1's). Mustang is a completely different tool and although mustangs have come a long way in the handling department I'm not a fan of ford. Fix Or Repair Daily, Fixed Or Repaired Dodge, Found On Road Dead or in reverse Driver Returns On Foot
