This wheel & tire setup has completely changed the handling characteristics of the car. Acceleration, braking and cornering are much improved.
With my old AP1 7.5" rears, the tail came out easily with a decent amount of throttle. Now, the rear is much harder to get out of line and it almost immediately snaps back when it does let go. It's much safer to drive on the edge.
So in short...
Get these wheels.![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Ken's picture makes me want to pull my S out of storage tomorrow for a drive, road salt be damned!
Of course I'm not going to expose my S to salt, but you understand my sentiment.![Tomato](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tomato.gif)
The Vagon is fun but it's not tossable like the S and if I rev the wagon to redline, I'll be at felony speed by the time I get to mid-third gear.
The S I can rev the snot out of and be within the speed limit.

Small update - my car is undergoing final prep work for the upcoming track day on 4/5. Following services are being done:
Coolant change
DOT4 Brake fluid
Valve Adjustment
New Clutch Master Cylinder
New Timing Chain Tensioner
I bought this car January 22nd and have already put 5,100 miles on it ... and $1800 in parts alone.
You could say I love this car.

The interior of my S is now in pieces. Drove to the storage bin today to do some installations and prep. My new head unit is, unfortunately, still en route so won't be in til next weekend.
. It's a 10 minute job to remove the radio panel.
My current radio/iPod connect setup has wiring in the glovebox and the end of my XM antenna cable is there, too. I therefore had to tear out the center panel and now I have to take apart the glovebox, too. Sounds like a lot, but it's really easy. I'll have some pics when I go back tomorrow, it just jot too damn cold to work--temp only barely got to the low 40's today and the storage site is unheated.![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
F'ing frozen Cleveland FTMFL
.
PS--anyone know of some low profile 3-way speakers I can put in the front doors without having to cut or modify the interior of the door? I suspect speakers will be my next mod. I've scrapped the idea of big speakers behind my head.

Picked up this one yesterday. The deal was too good to pass on and I have always wanted to get back into one. This one needs some TLC though but nothing thats irreversible.
Pros (at least to me)
Early model 2000 AP1, very low VIN#.
Clean carfax, couple of owners over the years but from the miles driven per year it seems like both of them drove the car on the weekends only.
No rust/oxidation.
Some superficial mods that I intend on undoing soon.
Clean interior
CF hood, fenders, front bumper and trunk lid.
Cons.
CF hood, fenders, front bumper and trunk lid
Car only came with OEM trunk lid, all other parts such as hood etc were sold when the owner decided to go the CF route.
Aftermarket HKS high power exhaust.
Aftermarket AEM CAI.
Driver side seat has good leather but side bolstering has given up.
The roof seem to be ok but there is some damage to the plastic rear window.
Even though the pros and cons are all over the place I cant really complain as I love this car. My goal is to revert the car back to OEM. The CF parts will be sold/traded for OEM ones. I may opt to go the AP2 appearance upgrade i.e. bumper, headlights, tail lights and rear bumper along with the exhaust.
Interior hasnt been tinkered with i.e. no aftermarket stereo etc and I'd like to keep it that way.
More pictures to come

Congrats! and welcome back to the S2000 cult, I mean, club.
Hopefully you got it for a good price.
That is certainly a diamond in the rough. Should be fun to fix up!

Car wasnt driven much all last year and since July '13 till now it sat in his backyard. The tires were deflated when I looked at the car along with the battery being dead.
Mechanically the car drives/sounds/runs perfect. Compression is good, clutch has only a few thousand miles on it.
Here is how it looked when I first saw it.

After just reading, I thought it would be okay to just paint the CF parts. But you have the right idea - going to an AP2 look
have fun with it!

1) Let someone else enjoy the CF look as I prefer stock over boy racer look.
2) I am not shooting for weight savings so I could careless for that benefit of using CF parts.
3) Not a fan of the hood and fender vents.
4) The front bumper is designed to have a longer than stock overhang and more of a wide chin where as I like the stock AP2 bumper with the factory lip.
5) Even though the CF parts have a good fit and finish but no where as good as factory parts.
Couple of questions for you guys
1) As stated above the rear window (plastic) has some damage to it, what are the replacement options?
2) Leather repair? As stated above the driver seat side bolstering has given up and the leather shows some wear to it, whats the best way to replace/repair s2k seat leather and bolstering?
3) Where can I find an OEM air box? Plus, when people replace the OEM air box with a CAI what parts are taken off beside the box?

1: There are plastic window replacement options, I found this on S2Ki:
http://www.s2ki.com/stor/library/TSB/A00-048/index.htm
Apparently the window is anywhere from $150 - $250 depending on what brand you go with. Good luck.
2: I too am seeking this repair - my driverside bolster is pretty worn. From what I've researched, replacement seats on Craigslist or finding a professional upholster repair shop would be your best option.
3: I don't think one bit of the OEM airbox is there when you put in a CAI, see image below:
http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...ges/CA1922.JPG
I plan on upgrading to a CAI soon, I would let my OEM airbox go for cheap.
