I have the Enkei PF01SS, which were made specifically for this car, and I really like the way they look. Dirty pic but gives a good impression

http://www.extremespeedtrackevents.c...=37&Itemid=189

Here's the list of 2014 events by Extreme Speed. Do NOT buy it now. I can get discount codes from ft86 forum like 3 weeks before the event usually. Most of the events are like right around 100.

If I can do it with stock brakes and prius tires, you can do it.

I'm thinking of going to some of these:

March 30th @ Big Willow
April 5th @ Chuckwalla Raceway
May 11th @ Streets of Willow

And since you are coming from SD, I would highly recommend getting a room around the track area to do 2 days event. They usually do Saturday and Sunday at a time.

If this drive taught me anything - I need: New tires & wheel combo, aftermarket sways & strut bars and moar low. Car felt floaty & bouncy through some of the higher speed corners, but handled good otherwise.

Sounds good, thanks for the info.

I'm sure by that time I'll have a decent tire & wheel combo by then!

Duh, It's a well known fact that CR sidemarkers give you better aerodynamics & 10hp

Never thought about that when i had mine.

I know I know I said that RPF1s are a bit played out - but... I found a deal on Craigslist I really couldn't pass and the whole idea of having lightweight wheels made me pull the trigger.

17x8 in the fronts, 17x9 in the rears - New Falken 452s in the front & 70% BFGoodrich G-Force Sports in the rear - Wheels are pretty much mint with no curbage or bends, car looks and drives much better.

In addition to adding new wheels, I followed pmptx's advice and did some of the needed maintenance myself. New Mobil 1 75w90 differential oil & Honda MTF. Car shifts much smoother, only thing I need to do at this point is a valve adjustment.

I'll shut up now, onto the pics:

Freshly washed:

Differential fluid change, now I see why the fluid pump is needed ..

Transmission fluid:

Pup wanted to help, sort of.

When all the work is done and the day comes to a finish, this is where you just stare and appreciate it.

Thanks for reading.

Personally, I wouldn't care how many others have the RPF1. First, they are a great wheel because they are reasonably priced, lightweight, and made by a highly reputable company. Second, if you like the wheel, it suits your budget, and makes your car look good, and as long as it puts a smile on your face, who cares what other people think.

RPF1 wheels have sold well because they look so good on so many different types of cars. Probably one of the best wheels ever made IMO.

What he said.

It's going to be another month before I can even think about considering pulling mine out of storage, so I have to live vicariously through you guys who are able to drive your S2Ks.

In the meantime, I spent some money on Dan Carney's S2000 book. I have a new appreciation for this work of art--that's really what the S2000 is at the end of the day, a work of art--after reading this book. WOW that book is a good read.

Thanks bud.

You won't be my copycat, just get the SBC finish and call it a day .

My favorite part about these wheels is the added steering feel and the added stability of the rear end.

At some point someone sold clear AP2 lenses, I bought a set and had them installed a long time ago. It included an amber bulb so it still blinks amber.

Here is what it looks like:

I am very jealous, looks like it's going to be a blast.

A track day is on the horizon for me, I just really need to dial in the suspension on my car and tighten it up a bit - car feels way too floaty and soft.

You should just track it once with your current set up to see what you want to do with your setting!

Thankfully there are really only a few places you can damage your car. It is one of the best tracks I have been on for safety in an off.
I have been driving it for about 3.5 years so feel good. Thanks for the heads up.

It is awesome. I love students who are down to earth and really want to learn what the car can do. My eye opening came when a friend who was an instructor when I was a novice drove my car and showed me what it could do. You will have a blast.

I have a Chase race hitch and tire trailer for the NT01s. In TX RS3s and other tires will get slippery after 3-4 hot laps in summer, when the air temp is 100+ and track temps have to be 120+, but the NT01s hold up to the heat. Enjoy them, it makes for a great day.

Went on a mountain run this afternoon with 02ACTcLean (E36 M3), had an absolute blast because all the roads were freshly paved, no traffic and huge shoulders. It was on the outskirts of San Diego's east county on Highway 94 near the Mexico border.

I lowered the car a little more and firmed up the dampening a bit before the run, car handles and corners like it's on rails.

Here's a few pics:
