The Official Honda S2000 Thread
I've never used chains. Haven't needed to, plus I don't think any areas around here allow them. (Or roads are bad enough!)
Speaking of snow, we are under a winter storm warning. Could have anywhere from 3-8" of snow starting tonight and going through tomorrow. Best part... I haven't swapped on my winter tire set yet. Next week will be in the 50s! If I didn't have to go to the airport tomorrow for a pick up I would wait another week, but it looks like tomorrow morning I'll be working on the car. I'm not ready to go back to the stock wheels again.

It's not...but fvck me those look awesome on that car. The high today was 31 so the car is sleeping. Just took the insurance off of it so now it's for sure done until spring comes back. I'll keep an eye out but it's not looking likely that the wife will let me spend that kind of cash on wheels. Especially when the Jeep needs some rock rails.

That, and a few misc body work items. The car is still pretty darn clean, but is beginning to show its age (98,3xx miles). I'd have to pretty much tell my life story why it's such a big deal to me...but let's just say that I've dreamed about FI Hondas for over 15 years and never been able to do it, whilst simultaneously watching all of my best car buddies build away. Feels like it's just my turn
Completely agree. I'm almost finished with my student loans I've been paying on for 10 years
and just about got the CC debt taken care of. I think next year I'll be making significant headway towards my car goals.

Yep. Sounds like you are moving in the right direction. If you get a power itch, go do a track day.
I wanted to do the engine mods before I went to my first track day. After that day, I realized the power mods aren't worth it until you actually get to know how to drive the car.

I've driven both turbo and SC s2k's in the mid 400s. At least as far as feel, I'm 100% sold either way...although leaning towards turbo. I definitely love the car a LOT. Didn't want to get into the life story lol...but had a good buddy that bought a brand new MY03 AP1 BB, and put nearly the entire Toda catalog on it. I had the great fortune of driving it a bunch, and from that time always knew I'd have a S2000. I've had mine now for 6 years this month, and I think they'll probably have to bury me in it.

it wasn't a miata was his biggest issue
yeah, I've talked to a few people that have gone FI and they all tell me low boost turbo...no heat, reliable...stick with 350-400 to the wheels and you'll have a great time.

^This. Particularly for reliability.
Although, there is something to be said about keeping it close to stock (intake, exhaust, suspension mods that can be easily removed) with the values doing what they are nowadays. Wish I could afford to pick up a low mileage example and put it in a Storage unit.

That is about 150-200 WHP over stock.
Yeah I've been looking at the Full Race EFR kit with the internal wastegate. There is a guy making 460 on 11 psi, and still has a ton of midrange. I think full boost is like 3500ish rpm. It's twinscroll too.
So much want.
