ps, for anyone wondering, I'm pretty sure I've now confirmed that one reason the S2000 is unrivaled in lighting aside from projector lens...

is I'm almost positive the famed Phillips 85122+ from Germany is the OEM bulb. I'm sure I can find this somewhere online, but I had this in the silver one and now confirmed it in the rio.

also, if you're sticking with amber...these wedge led from amazon are tits. I had done the sidemarkers for extra blinking visibility and they put the fronts to shame. I put them in there today...look at the light off the bumper. Right is LED, left is halogen. We're talking a little tiny wedge 168 bulb here.

Thanks guys! I love the color too. I searched for it for a while and got super lucky finding one in such great condition. My wallet wasn't so lucky.

PC on the CR wheels? I dig the color combo, man.
Yeah, I'm not on here much and when I am it's more lurking than anything else. I'm a little more active around the time of the National Meet here in KC. Life just got busy and I have two houses now so spending time on here isn't as easy anymore especially as it leads to spending more money on mods. Having the S really makes that hard as well as there is so much to do. Right now it's a battle between a carbon fiber hood for the S or get my Volks restored and get tires so they can go back on the TL.

Those are the SOS dampeners. I really like them. A lot of people think the wheels are PC but they are actually Plastidip. The stuff has come a long way. It's the Burnt Copper Pearl with Topcoat over it.

Damn bro...well done. They look fantastic!

I don't blame you, LBP is gorgeous, man...fuck it. You only live one time or something.

SOS...I missed an auction for those for $100 shipped once.
Fuckkk...settled on the soky ones from china...had to return them.

I haven't tested it myself, but I think most modern cars indicators flash more quickly when a bulk is out. It has on all of my older cars.

But yes, to old school technology. With a car that only has the bare essentials, it sure does stay reliable.

11 years old, 146,000mi & everything electronically and mechanically still works

yes sir!

Just did the door lock actuator on my TL today...got the mirror actuators coming in too.

Thinking about doing the motor/tranny mounts...I'm sure they're cooked at 130K. You?

Not anymore! I graduated in December of 2013. Though now I'm working and try to use my available vacation days around holidays.

Maybe I'll make the trip next year

I'd say so.

Heat & time degrades the mounts, mine were completely torn and it was a hell of a difference changing them out.

Shift quality, turn-in, braking, acceleration all feel improved.

Dooo et, only drawback is they're about $300 shipped for a piece of rubber & metal threads sticking out of it

I think mine need replacing too; there's quite a bit of vibration while stationary. Luckily I'm in the car industry and get parts for 10% over cost no matter the vehicle make

Wanna get me some too? I get the feeling mine are just worn due to age...

Also, I'm going to replace the front lights with LED. I'm pretty sure one of the bulbs is out anyway.

Anyone know of a good place to get the OEM clear side markers?

My front parking bulbs do not match and I've been too lazy to change them out.

These should be arriving today.

Thanks.

If you're getting clear side markers, definitely replace the bulbs with aftermarket LEDs (like those posted above)

I purchased 2 packs of them to replace my front & clear sidemarker bulbs.

Looks absolutely tits

Glad you liked them, bud...I actually did the chrome dipped amber bulbs before, but they really weren't very bright in there. Figured LED would work better!

Not that one. You need one in the 12-15K range to make this work!

32k ... and they can't even throw in a shift knob?

Way overpriced, I mean .. unbelievably overpriced. You're a sucker if you pay that amount of money for that amount of car.

Will do - I'll post up some pictures on Saturday when she's lookin' purrrty.

I have yet to detail my car since purchasing it in January of 2014 and I finally have time to do it this weekend!

Ordered some supplies off Amazon:

2 x Simoniz Clay bars
Meguiar's G17216 polishing compound
New buffer pads
Some blue tape

Finally going to give the paint the attention it deserves. It's in pretty rough shape - lots of swirl marks, dirt & pollen specks everywhere - it makes me cringe every time I have to dry it with a microfiber towel

Typically, OEM hardtops usually go for around $3,000 - $4,000 depending on the color / condition (Craigslist / forums), but figure you're paying $35 - $36k after the tax man has his way with your sphincter for an 8 year old USED car is just bonkers.

I paid 3 times less than that for virtually the same car.

S is the goal.

I should look in the STL... My mom is out there right now. Have her buy me one, ship it to Cali then I'll pay her when she returns home.

I'm irritated, when I get irritated I buy shit online.

Don't be afraid of a purchase where you fly out, buy it and drive it home, Flippy. Not sure you can afford the time but Chip did that and drove home from my house to NJ in one day.
