Chile please...10K means all the seals and gaskets are probably dried up. Cars like to be DRIVEN!

Tire experts, I'd love to hear your feedback.

As of right now, I'm running this setup:

Front - 17x8 - Ventus V12 - 215s
Rears - 17x9 - Ventus V12 - 245s

Would it be a bad idea running a square tire setup (245s) on staggered wheels?

I had 225 all around and that was scary...
I have not had 245 all around...but I'm really happy with the narrower track up front for how the car turns and corners.

I'm curious to hear your review if you switch.

What's the point of running a square set up on staggered rims? Other than the tires not fitting and potentially breaking the bead seal in hard cornering, you get zero advantage.

I kept the stock set up simply because that's how the car was designed. I'm sure they tried all kinds of different options before they came to the final design.

The square set up is the fastest set up for the track and autoX.

Tyler, not too sure if running it on different size of wheels. Hmmm

Depends on the car. Putting a square setup on a 911 would be a recipe for disaster.

FK that...you'll have a softer sidewall up front from the bubbly tire and a slight stretch to perfect on rear.

If you trailer your car to a track...do 255 square on 17 x 9 square.

If you drive on the streets mainly...take the xtra second at the occasional autox and get the stock sizes or maybe 225/255...

215 tires on 8" wheels is a bit stretched compared to stock. The Ventus V12s already have soft sidewalls, so a 245 tire would give the wheel more meat.

My rears have plenty of tread on them right now, I just don't want to pony up the dough for another pair of RPF1 17x9s

Yeah, I've done a little research and didn't find anything bad to say about it. Although, the tire & wheel "feel" would be different. Just wondering if anybody had any input on it.

Sure, depending on how you set up the corner, you can usually fix natural understeer with some power oversteer.

Is this the typical going rate for a car like this? If so, I should turn around and sell mine for a massive profit.

I don't think I'd pay a dime over $16k for this car.

I've been offered $22,000 at a dealer recently. That's without buying anything.

That's an '06 with 60,000 miles.

So a 2004 with 40k miles bone stock should go for $20k-$21k by a dealer?

Why would you want the understeer at all though when you can minimize it as much as possible?

The car comes as a staggered set up because it's to save the idiots from wrapping it around the tree. The general car buyers don't know how to control the car.

It's all good for street driving!

The S2K usually needs the square setup plus a GT wing plus the swaybars to keep the oversteer down and kill the understeer at the same time I believe. But that's really going all out for the limit driving.

And that's perfect. Even with the staggered set up the car is still tail happy so I'm not sure what exactly you're trying to tame by going square...

People are paying that much these days? I thought the market out west would be fairly saturated with S2000's compared to the upper midwest. Prices are up around here too but not to the point where a dealer would ask $25k-$26k for a 2006 with 60k on it.

I know NSX values are through the roof, along with Supras and Porsche 993's. Guess it's just a matter of time before the S2000 values go even higher. Only thing that'll bring them down is Honda making a new one.

Maybe this time around i should look for an AP1 since i have had both AP2 V1 and V2 already.

Going square makes your car more tail happy! So, the square set up + front sway + gt wing to go around the corner at faster speed. Just add more power from there and you go faster around the lap.

It's just much more aggressive set up for the car. Definitely not needed for street driving.

Not really a fan of the fart can exhaust, but car is pretty clean otherwise.

Looks like it comes with a hard top too.
