Burning Brakes

Just found this thread and thought it would be appropriate to ask here.
We have a '99 Accord V6 sedan and the transmission "jerks" pretty bad only when shifting into second gear. All other gears it seems to shift just fine but jerks/slips from first to second.
Is there anything we can do to stop this, or at least reduce it, without having to get a new transmission put in? When we bought the car it did not slip and saw that it recently had a transmission flush done, so maybe we can try that first. TIA.

When you say flush, do you know if it was by machine or something like a 3x3 fluid change?

My commute varies. There are times I can drive up to 600 miles in one week. I just drove up to NoVa (800 miles one way), then off to Eastern and Atlantic Canada (roughly 2K miles) and then from NoVa to (800 miles back).
Not to mention, I will be spending some time in NC working (600 miles one way). Its very likely that I will cross 100K before year end since I will only do one NC stint in the RS4.

I ordered an FRS for my wife and when the first one came in she decided it was too small and too impractical....Long story short deposits were returned, and she is now the proud owner of a brand new Accord V6 HFP.
Pics arent the best, but I had to snap a few quick ones as soon as we got her home nose to nose with my TL.
...And a Honda stock photo...

Beautiful car, oh my lawd.
Drop it a couple inches and call it a day .
Honestly, the rear taillights could grow on me .. but yes I much preferred the taillights on the previous gen Coupe.

Rear lip?

All motor
Oooooooh my goodness look at that HFP Accord! Sex on wheels. Love the new Accord, especially in white. And those 19s look sick on there. I do like the 08-10 HFP front lip better though, but the 8.5G comes with a more aggressive front end stock. Congrats and good find (the car and wife)...I'd love to have my GF driving that, she would never go for it. She's too practical ugh lol. Your TL is looking sexy as well, sir.
The tail lights look good from the back I think, but from the front/side EWWW they stick out like the Altima coupe. Apparently there are LED tails for the 08-10, but I've yet to see someone with them.
I will post pics of my Accord at some point when it's clean. Although I need a new front bumper and have hail damage (being repaired soon at of course no cost to me). I think it's somewhat pic worthy.

^ I love the 06+ Coupes, rear end is a lot sleeker. I've seen videos of your car and it's definitely a sleeper.
I too have been considering a new front bumper since mine has a hole / scratches on it .
For now, I'm covering it with some 2in x 5in Vinyl bandaid stickers .

It already comes one inch lower than other Accords right out of the box, and wife may not let me mod it too much...gotta think of a way

i hope not!
i hate when there is nothing else to modify.
im coming up on a the mileage (110k) where a lot of maintanence needs to be preformed.
so after my front and rear bumpers get resprayed, it will probably take a nice 6 month resting period on mods to afford the upkeep.
im really still wanting an S2k and now an 08+ accord coupe.
never satisfied lol

Are your fenders JDM, or are the sidemarkers drilled into the original ones?

You will have a completely different car when you start throwing on some performance goodies .. Sonnick made just about 40-45whp with full boltons .

Perfectly fine.
And Rockstar, there are still SO many things you can do to your car. Performance stuff, projector headlights, Hybrid mirrors, 06-07 rear, audio stuff...

Is it just me, or are 6Gs keeping their value like crazy?

^ Yes they are....or rather, its hit the bottom of the depreciative cycle. The same could almost be said for the early 7Gs.
I've put about 2000 miles on the J-Pipe. My impressions is that I get more top end power, but the low end has seemingly suffered. The sways are well worth the hassle though, because I've been taking tight turns alot faster than I realize sometimes.
