nissan/infinity aggresive advertising

If anyone has been to grand central lately, its impossible to avoid the murano advertising EVERYWHERE. I usually just stare at the floor, but they put them there too!

Also, if anyones been to times square, there are 3-4 bilboards for the infinity fx-45. they are goin crazy!

meanwhile i dunno where acura is cause i have never seen an acura ad in either of those places

Nissan/Infinity needs a marketing department. Honda/Acura doesn't, they can sell their cars without tons of advertising.

dude, marketing is low on honda/acura's need list, but i do agree, the comercials do need work. all hte Honda/Acura comercials are very subdued and develop, whereas the Nissan comercials are entertaining and inventive. TOYOTA doesnt need a marketing dept, they do fine on their own.

i like the nissan ads, some are artsy (the Z ads) some are just entertaining (Altima sounds techno mix) and they are quick and get the point across. although, i have noticed them using the same Q45 comercial for years.

Nissan strategy is rolling out a bunch of new products and letting the world know about them. This strategy also includes dropping 1 engine in almost all the cars and making quality job #12. Heck, it's working. People want a new, fast car with the interior of a Yugo. Ghosen is looking like a genuis right about now. Let's see if he can do the same thing to Renault.

This is actualy not what i was geting at, im well aware that honda is out selling nissan by a wide margin, but im saying compared to last year almost all of hondas products have lost market share and all of nissans/infinitys have gained.

Frankly, I'm eager to see where sales will be in a few years. Nissan is taking market share from somewhere... whether it's Toyota or Acura/Honda, somebody is definitely buying em. Nissan was almost Bankrupt a few years back...maybe those agressive ads & new attitude are what saved them.

I agree they seem to be using alot of the same components in several of the cars(engine & frames). But atleast the VQ engine has some balls...

My $.02
