Pick up is Friday morning/lunch depending on if the train I am taking to pick it up gets delayed or not since reviews don't seem all that assuring.

Bob, I saw your post in Steven's Vette thread about the magnetic shocks and lowering. Is it really that big of an issue? Wheel gap drives me crazy. I prefer it to be at a minimum. I am not worried about a stiff suspension as I had 14k F and 12k R coils on the F. I would like to retain the Magnetic shocks but see a lot of people seem to be blowing struts when lowered too? Do you think this is a big concern? The car will probably see between 16-20k miles per year.

Probably not any moreso than other platforms, same issues. Haven't heard about blown magneride shocks. I'd be more concerned about skewing the diff axle angle, but I don't think that's an issue with the V multi-link geometry. Bags?

I sawa youtube review by the smoking tire guy...it had the kw variant 3's...looked crazy and rode great. His only gripe is ground clearance was sucky but that might have been teh 4" exhaust tubing too...

I would probably do KW3 or BC Racing coils instead of bags. That also is if there are any camber kits available for the car so I don't go through tires in 5k miles.

It's pretty rare to spot a Vagon, but whenever I see one in my rearview mirror, it scares me.

It really is. I'm not a red person but that color is just awesome. I almost pulled the trigger on one but it had the light interior and no Recaros, both of which were on my list.

Congrats on the purchase! We're taking over AZ

Thanks all. Car is a blast to drive. Its a great overall car, especially on the hwy.

Quality wise, compared to the TL - door panel could use some weight from what i have noticed. I know it doesn't hold a candle to the TL, just something i noticed.

Majofo - I am not ready to mess with the TCS/Stabilitrak button

I posted this in JB's thread:

The performance settings on the V are ambiguous and the owner's manual doesn't mention much other than how to flip the switches. The V as well as many GM vehicles have traction control as well as stabilitrak (think ESP). The TC button the steering wheel controls both:

Default: Both on
Hit button once: TC off, Stabilitrak on
Hit button twice: TC off, Stabilitrak in Competitive Mode
Hold down button for several seconds: TC off, Stabilitrak off

Turning TC off lets you spin the wheels more than usual (I spin the wheels with everything on in first, second, and third).
Stabilitrak competitive mode is a toned down version. Gives you a little more lateral play / yaw before taking over. Steering effort is also increased to give you tighter control.
Everything off.. clench your butt and hold on. -burnout mode
Everything off is like riding a bull.
I'm not sure if putting it in sport with traction off really improves performance. I think you really need many hours in that mode before you get it right.

Of course! Supercharged V8 AND wagon?!

However, my payment on the S2k is much less than it would be for my ideal Vagon, so I can't complain. The S2k is very fun, just in a different manner

Different beasts with different strengths and weaknesses.

At least they both have about the same torque numbers.

Dude, I can't imagine how hard it is to launch the 6MT V with everything off...
