No, not really. Seems like everyone has been loving the springs. Not a single person who sold it at FS section.

Maybe.. yeah..

Or maybe I should upgrade my RMM to 88 duro and install a Transmission Mount 88 duro to help putting down the torque to the ground.

Even with the new rims + tires, I still occasionally get wheel hop/spin during hard launch.

...totally intentional.

Not spoiled, man...you just know people that love you, or have a lot of expendable income...or both.

If you gt good coils your wheel hope will be minimized. I get no wheels hop. Just spin. In the Tl I would get sever wheel hop because I was on springs

To me, tint and lowering a car are the absolute first and most important mods.

Phee is absolutely right. Get the suspension sorted and your wheel hop will be minimized.

My buddy just showed me that App on Tuesday in his Ms3 as well. Really amazed me as well at what it could do.

The MS3 really amazes me all he has is. Corksport SRI+Tip, CS test pipe and a Forge BPV makes me everytime!

Tint, for sure.

As for lowering, I never believed in lowering springs only set up til I read about Swift Springs. I'm going to pair them up with Koni/Bilstein shocks, but maybe I should just try the springs with SPC camber arms first. Haven't decided yet, but my friend with 370Z just installed a brand new set of Swift Springs on his car and the ride is better than stock. It's weird.

I'll probably get the Swift. Talking to this MS3 forum vendor right now.. telling him to apply that magic bday coupon code for it. haha It's $300 shipped without any discount, so it's pretty damn affordable for such a quality product.

Dude, that's like 25-30hp/tq for like $550. It's so cheap to mod this car and be happy.

I'm aiming to get Swift springs myself. Actually, with the money I'm going to make from my upcoming trip to the sandbox, I'll probably be getting a DP, Cobb AP, fuel pump internals, and new tires and wheels. Considering TSW Nurburgrings, Eneki Raijins, or even Enkei PF01s / RPF1s. (or just PC my RX8 wheels)

Very very nice list of mods.

Make sure to do the hpfp internal first. Without that, DP can cause some fueling problem which could possibly lead to catastrophic failure. And get the Autotech hpfp internal, that's the most reliable one for the money. I had mine for about 1.5 years racking up +10k miles without any problem whatsoever. And I believe nobody over at msf has problem with Autotech. People have been complaining about KMD for some reason.

Which DP are you trying to get? I'll probably end up with Corksport as they have that divorced piping design which is supposed to be very good. But I'm sure all other brands are fine. Just don't get the no name brands, those are for Civic Si ricers.

As for the rims, I would get the 17 wide RPF1s with some great tires. It should save you ton of tire cost, if you drive a lot. But really, everyone has different tastes in mods, so make sure to get the one that you REALLY like.

Let me know if you need help in tuning. I can help you myself or introduce you to my tuner or other experts over at msf. Remember, with the mods that you have listed, a sound tune will give you +30whp/wtq over the OTS maps from Cobb! And if you live in an area where you can get E85, 50/50 mix will easily, safely give you +50whp/wtq just with the tune.

Good luck and let me know man.

Just to add, 1st generation MS3 comes with a terrible set of OEM shocks. If you are planning to install the springs only, I would recommend you to just pair it up with Koni Yellow or Bilstein Sport shocks right away. These shocks can be had at $699 shipped from Edgeautosport. They are our vendor at msf. You should contact JP@Edgeautosport for all the parts, his pricing is the best.

All we get is piss water in Los Angeles, which gives us very little room to work with timing.

Really!?

Todd, contact one of the protuners over at msf asap. I think the E-Tune fee is only like 200-300 bucks!

You know what I think he got it all for a good deal too.. That is really cheap. I only know the prices because I picked some of the stuff up for him

SRI+Tip: 250
CS Test Pipe: 50
BPV: 100

so 400 bucks in and it amazes me, really wish I bought a speed3 or 6 now.. O well I can keep drooling over Your's and Todd's, Bryan not so much stock ass!

Plus, a lot easier to swap out spring/shock combos than swapping over springs. You don't even need a spring compressor. I love how my car rides...very smooth considering how low it is.

Yep, turbo and tuneable is a must. I agree. I've heard you can do good things to the genesis 2.0T, actually.

with the mods that JS + MS3 does and you did the same to a 2.0T..

it won't be any faster than the 3.8 stock to my understanding.. if anything, it'll have more torque.

its a sorry ass 2.0t. lol.. the new 2.0t will be better.

Yeah, the current 2.0T on Gen Coupe is pretty damn shitty. I put like 2 bus lengths on this modified GC 2.0T couple months ago. It was on freeway going from like 50-110.

But I'm excited to see that Hyundai stepped up its game with an upgraded 2.0T for the facelifted one.

haha yea.

it's nice that they beefed up their engines for both cars..

the only thing i'll have to get used to is the beefed up face.. its like it got injected with tons of steroids to its face. lol.

whats the price for the set of bilstein shocks?

man, if i got those springs, i'd be pretty anxious to get it done and take it up the canyons.

Yeah, the new GC looks pretty crazy. lol

Bilstein Sports for MS3 is $695 shipped. It's not too bad.

And yes, If I end up getting the springs..... I'm going to get impatient.. very impatient.

It'll be fun to hit up ACH with that set up! My car is freaking fun as is at ACH right now, but with that suspension set up... ahhhhh

I'm not really a mod-crazy kinda guy and will probably add mods abit at a time to keep me interested in the car. So far I've only done CPE SRI, CPE RMM, JBR SSP/SSB, OEM vent visors, WeatherTech liners, Moddication Big Type-R knob, and finally RX8 wheels.

My order of mods at the moment will probably follow this order, with each mod being added every few months.

1) Cobb AP
2) FP Internals (autotech)
3) TIP (prob CPE)
4) Downpipe (CPE, Cobb, Corksport)
5) Maybe FMIC/TMIC (CPE, Corksport)
6) Tune?
7) Suspension (undecided, Swift Springs)
8) Tires (and possibly new wheels) 17" PF01/RPFI would be nice
9) Tint
10) Other motor mounts

I'm a pretty big fan of CPE's stuff, despite the hate on MSF. Will see how everything plays out in terms of my mod dreams. Not totally sure on which brands, but will likely depend on the deal of the day. I plan on holding on to the car for the long-run, but you never know...

Plus I want stuff for my truck too....

Again, very nice list of mods man. You and I have share the similar taste.

You should make a new thread for your MS3. Make one as a progress thread.

Show AZiners what this car is capable of.
