Inside my '13 Ford Focus ST build
Did a recording this morning at home and the sound was clear and without static. Then on the two short videos I recorded on the drive in, the static is there. However at idle, I don't think it's there. When the RPM starts to increase, it appears. I'm wondering if it could be some electronic interference from the engine or somehow associated with vibration coming through the moonroof glass.
Next test to do is to take the camera out of the housing, randomly place it somewhere in the cabin, and record. That will help track down the source of the static.

Thank you. I'm very impressed with the interior and quality Ford put into it.
Thanks! I certainly will.

How does she handle in the wet?
This is likely all you'd see on the navi.

Actually, with the winter tires, I'm pretty surprised how well I can put the power down in wet and slush and still have traction (ESC may come up, but I'm still remained planted).
Well see how they perform in several inches of snow, but so far, they are a great chioce.

That weather screen is
. I wish I had that on my car. All I get is local weather conditions in text on my car, and I have to depend on the weather apps on my iPhone for details.

^ It all comes through the Nav system but an extra subscription to Sirius TravelLink is needed. I believe it's a couple extra bucks a month to add it to an existing Sirius subscription. Both my dads Edge and my brothers F-150 have it, definitely a cool feature. Little more info here: http://www.siriusxm.com/travellink

The ST looks good in Forza... I need to buy one myself.
At 1099 miles. No changes. The wonderful winter weather has kept me pretty grounded. I'd like to take more video, especially from outside, but I really can't with limited traction.
It is supposed to be getting near 50 towards the weekend so maybe I'll install the RSB.
Oh and it's been one month and a day since I've had it.

My closest dealer has a Performance Blue and Tangerine Scream ST3. They've had the TS one parked out front for two or three weeks now.
The dealer I bought from has an Oxford White and Tuxedo Black ST3. Those came in a week or so after I bought mine.
Another dealer I called when I was looking around didn't have any at that time, but then called me last week saying they received in their first ST, and they have a Tangerine Scream and Tuxedo Black ST3. On their website they list an internet price of $27,831 - which is $1,995 off MSRP. Wow.
It seems the market is really starting to saturate, especially with the ST3 configuration.

I've seen a few fully loaded (ST3) ones sitting on dealer lots for a while... I bet you could talk them into a good deal.

That's good to know though. Thanks man. Hoping to help kickstart Focuszine!

Gawd your car makes me want one...there's something so fun about throwing around a well powered hatch. Shoot...last time I had a hatch it was WELL UNderpowered and it was still fun. Versatility, sport, fun to drive, good mpg, cool looks...
really no downside.

I wonder if the Power Kit is going to be fully backed by Ford for warranty purposes or if they'll chicken out like Mazdaspeed did for their CAI/CBE.

So in just every day driving (commuting) is the engine/exhaust noise noticeable? I really like the idea of this car as a daily driver (and parking my truck that now gets 15-16mpg) as long as the ride isn't too harsh and it doesn't sound like a ricer burner rolling down the highway.

Here's a test drive review from the interior on Youtube:

And of course watching that video was the worst thing I could have done for upgraditis

On the 21st. The first real snowfall.
Yep, and like most of Ford Racing's items it will probably be overpriced compared to aftermarket. Warranty support is nice, though.
But really, the most I'd be interested in from them is an STS.
The car is pretty quiet. The only noise you pretty much hear is the sound symposer. There is a tube that pipes in engine noise to the cabin. It gives it a nice sounding growl, in my opinion. It can also be disabled. The exhaust note is tamed through the exhaust system and you can't really hear it. But as far as daily driving, it is very comfortable and easy on commutes. I commute about 50-60 miles a day.

It definitely won't sound like a Civic DX with a fart pipe.
