Damn if only I could get that kinda of mileage in the Evo...but meh I knew what I was getting into lol.

Was that just normal driving and staying off boost?

I pretty much never stay off boost. Only the first five minutes or so while the oil pressure drops down to normal.

Well, I just fueled up this morning and found I achieved 14.6 MPG. So there!

(Of course, I knew what I was getting into and am not complaining.)

Holy mackerel, now I know why you're looking at FSWerks' tune:

I'm going to wait on a tune. I'm a little nervous with a tune that gets 337lb-ft of torque from a 2.0T

I'd be really curious how almost 340 lbs of tq handles in a FWD car. That is an impressive number by far. I mean I'm putting about 400lbs of tq right now.

Worked on the car some but was not happy by the end of the day.

Forecast calls for rain all this week so I didn't wash the exterior, but I did clean the wheels and vacuum the interior.

I took my license plate off and noticed right away that the edge is somehow scratching the paint. It may be from the frame. So I took the plate off the frame and reinstalled it. But dang. At least the plate covers it.

The new floor mats look great, though.

And here was the one to cap the day off... I was installing the hood QuickLIFT system and while tightening back on one of the bolts that secures to the hinge of the hood, it snapped in half on me. Just bam, snapped. F'in crap. So I had to stop the installation right there. Now I have to get another bolt from Ford and I'll have to easy-out the broken piece that's stuck in the hinge. Sigh. I don't feel too bad since I found out other people on the forum have done the same thing.

The torque vectoring system helps, otherwise the torque steer would probably be horrid.

But so far it's handling it very well.

Awesome updates, man. Sorry about the bolt...those are rough.

The plate area looks like it'll wetsand/buff out...a little foam tape behind your frame and you should be okay to put it back on without further damage.

Funny to see those dyno charts...not like what I'm used to seeing...300HP/10 Ft/lb torque

Holy shyte, according to DHL they are with the delivery courier...

Now I'm worried about signature required/package sign off. I don't think he'd leave them... then again UPS left my four brand new tires out.

But it looks like tomorrow will be a busy day...

Congrats! Can't wait to see pictures.

I got a dreaded case of the rattles

In the headliner around the sunroof ... Which is annoying because I didn't want one in the first place. Any issues with yours?

So far I've only heard a rattle that seems to becoming from the passenger-side B-pillar. But it comes and goes. I may have seen some drivers report a rattle coming from the roof console/sunglasses holder/compartment area just in front of the moonroof. Does that seem like the possible location?

And damn, I just realized my lug nuts have not come in from Amazon yet. I will not be able to mount the wheels until then. But I will definitely take pictures of the wheels.

DHL attempted delivery.

Ironic thing is, the holding facility is only about fifteen minutes or so away from work here, and a good sixty minutes from home.

Looks like I'll be driving back down here tomorrow morning.

Delivery companies are total derps. Miss a pickup and the package is ten minutes away at the local facility? So sad, too bad. Reschedule a pickup. Oh, and on Monday.

I signed DHL's paper slip to have them leave the wheels when they attempt to deliver on Monday. I guess they don't deliver on Saturdays?

The TD wheels require different lug nuts so I ordered some from Amazon. They came in today but the clear plastic bag they were in (which was enclosed in a small folding carton) was slit open and you could hear them moving around. Well, it turns out only 18 are in the bag. Great. So I'm returning them to Amazon on Monday.

Call Amazon, tell them the issue, they will ship the lugs in advance.

Yea, that gas app is pretty cool, which one?

To second what someone else said, Amazon is on top of it when it comes to screw ups. I never received a heavy package and when I called they apologized profusely and had it here the next day. I think I could have had them give me a discount if I pushed it but didn't see the need since they were so incredibly good and the product was already a great deal.

It's not technically an app.

Fuelly

https://www.fuelly.com

Do you have an iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry app?

No, we don't have native apps for these devices. We do have Fuelly Mobile, a site optimized for mobile devices. Just browse to m.fuelly.com on your phone and you can add fuel-ups from there.

You can also fuel-up via SMS (text message) with your phone.

Check out Fuelly Mobile to set up an icon on the home screen. It's very simple, and I love it!

http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rphilman1/focus-st

Oh I called Amazon this morning and told them about the lugs. They placed a new order for me free of charge and with one day shipping. Thanks for the suggestions.

If you'd rather use an app instead of a mobile site, I use Gas Cubby on my iPhone. Works well for me, but there's like 2 issues IMO:

1. To sync it with their service as a backup, you need the paid version. Whenever I restore my phone, I lose my data.
2. To save the data, you can export it in an e-mail. However, I couldn't find a way to import. So when I did have the data, it took me FOREVER to get it back in. Just for me to lose a few fill-ups and essentially have to start again.

Back on topic, great ST! My friend was hellbent on a BRZ a few weeks ago (he wouldn't consider a Genesis, Accord coupe, and wouldn't even drive a GTI) and I think one of these would have been a good choice for him. And with those numbers its seems like a pretty damn good hot hatch.

I use Road Trip for my iPhone. I think it was like $5.99 but you can have multiple cars, it keeps track of all the MPG stuff as well as maintenance schedules and cost, has alerts when oil changes or a service is coming up (you have to set that up of course) and you can back your info up to dropbox.com so if anything happens with your phone all your data remains.

Oh and nice vid on the intake. It sounds so much better than stock. In fact it sounds almost identical to my MS6.

Just took one out of the box and took a few photos. Didn't wipe off the dust or carton particles on it. I must say, they are damn lightweight and the color is one thousand times more amazing in person than it is in a photo.

Looking forward to seeing them on the car. Every photo of them on FordSTNation seems like the wheels are always too dark to appreciate.
