This is a small stampede of a car, with an ornery, angry sound..., a low, wicked look; front bucket seats that ought to be in the Louvre; and a long list of endearing character defects.

Hey RPhilMan!
I was in Detroit at the NAIAS yesterday and happened by the Shelby American stall. They had a ST with their visual upgrades; the package was just introduced at NAIAS. I spoke with their reps there and they indicated they are working on a tune good for 50 hp (they didn't say whp or crank hp). I'll post pics when I'm done processing my load of over 100 pix from NAIAS. It looks good but I'm a little disappointed with it being all show and no go (for now), but there must have been a market for it for them to try it.

Drool. I'd like to go Stage 2 or possibly Stage 3... but damn, dropping $3k would be a bit too much.

We've been hard at work finalizing the Staged Packages as well as making last minute tweaks to the calibrations. Below you will find information about each of the products we are bringing to market for the 2013 Focus ST. You will also find results from our in-house chassis dynamometer comparing each stage against a well running stock vehicle. We have also broken down each stage each other to show the natural progression of the COBB staged upgrade path.
We have tested every single combination of hard parts and calibrations to come up with the most optimal and cost-effective way to take your car through an evolutionary process of performance gains. This car does not follow the common "cookie cutter" modification path like other platforms. We have done extensive R&D to make sure you don't waste hard earned money on modifications that will not deliver the best bang-for-your-buck experience! We have also done extensive calibration testing with each of these parts to ensure maximum safety and performance is achieved at each stage.
As of today, we are officially opening up pre-orders for the Stage2 and Stage3 packages. Pre-orders will be taken over the phone by calling 866-922-3059, or through any of our dealers. We will not be taking pre-orders for individual a-la-cart pieces at this time*. Official launch date for the Stage2 package is 2/28/13 so get your orders in now to guarantee availability! We will also be taking pre-orders for Stage3 with an anticipated availability of 3/28/13. No charges will be incurred until the products are shipped!
*If you already own an Accessport, we will accept pre-orders for the staged package less AP as listed below.

Tried to go check out an ST at lunch a couple weeks ago. The dealer near my office had a black ST on the lot & a Tangerine Scream on the showroom floor.
Must've been some weird salesman's day off. Couldn't find anyone available & didn't have a whole lot of time to wait.
Sat in the TS in the showroom, pretty comfortable, but the battery was dead or disconnected, & the driver's seat was left in a really funky position.

277lb-ft of torque stock? That doesn't seem right. Not saying it isn't but that's higher than my 2.3L DISI Turbo-4 in my Gen 1 MS3 with a CAI and CBE. And that's a stock 2.0T Focus ST? Crazy.

^ That's what I thought too, but after doing a little google search it looks like Ford underrated their TQ numbers. Dyno's are seeing consistant high 260s to 270s to the wheels on bone stock STs. Pretty crazy numbers.

Summer wheels ordered. ![Too Cool](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/toocool.gif)
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in anthracite, 18x8/5x108/45et, with a listed weight of 19.8lbs each, compared to the stock wheel's weight of 25lbs. I ordered the special Spec 390 which comes without the lettering on the edge of the wheel.

6-7 weeks from across the pond to my door. Cannot wait!
I also almost ordered COBB Stage 2... but I'll wait until my tax return comes in.

Wow those look amazing. Are you going to get a little more offset (or less, I can't remember which way is "more") with those over the stock ones?
I saw a red and blue ST today. I'm really on the fence about white or black.
Oh, and the red one was driven by a chick so I guess the ST is a chick car now

Thanks!
The offset is 10mm less than OEM so the wheels will be a bit more out and flush with the fender.
The Tuxedo Black paint is really nice and with a nice flake in it as seen here and here, but as you know, it's such a maintenance color.
I originally ordered Oxford White but ended up buying the Ingot Silver, but I'm pretty happy in the end. The OW looks great, too.

Responsible vs. Passion ... both are good options.
Based on what you've experienced for the last few months would you spend the extra money on something else?

I am so torn between this car and an Audi A5 6MT. I love the A5 but it'll probably be $10k more than what I can get a new ST for ...

I was very close to buying a '12/'13 TL SH-AWD 6MT. I actually had a '12 on order until Acura canceled it for the '13 MY changeover.
And twice I was close to placing a factory order for a '12/'13 STi (again, MY changeover, damn summer).
I would have ended up spending a good $10k more for the TL and about $7k for the STi.
But in the end I am very happy that I chose the ST. I put enough cash down that my financing is dirt cheap @ 2.9% for 36 months. And check out what I am able to do as a result... I'm having a blast modding the ST so far. I would never have been able to do that if I spent $10k more.

And with that said, I ordered a COBB AccessPORT. They went on sale today and I couldn't pass up the deal. When it comes in, I can compare it to my custom SCT tune. It should be interesting. But I'll probably end up selling the SCT tuner since I'll eventually get the Cobb FMIC.
![Tomato](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tomato.gif)
EDIT: Forgot to mention I ordered the AP from FSWERKS so I get access to both their tunes and COBB's tunes for the AP. Pretty cool!

I'm looking for a nice car, 6MT, that gets decent gas mileage. I don't commute a lot but when I do, holy shit it sucks. So being in a nice car with a great stereo, great seats, and being fun to drive on the weekends is important.

I find the stereo to be very good, but I don't consider myself an audiophile.
I cannot say enough great things about the Recaro seats. Absolutely phenominal.
I can understand your dilemma and if you have any questions or need information, feel free to ask!

Late to the update, but those wheels will look so good on your car. GREAT choice.
