Probably about 1"-1.2" at the most.

Here's some fuel statistics. The last two fill ups have been pretty great. And I've been getting on the gas a bit to hear the exhaust roar.

I have half a tank left and my car says it'll get me 100 miles.

Which means I've been getting about 15mpg for the last 100 miles or so.

The FMIC should help improve MPG even more once it's installed.

If you need any info, let me know.

What the hell? Did the dealer drive your car when they had it?

Wow that is insanely good gas mileage for such a powerful car. Sigh. I'm seeing no where near that, but at least gas here is like $0.50 less than where you are lol!

I'd almost kill for that gas mileage. Almost. Lifetime gas mileage on the current V is 16 *jealous* .

Glad you're having fun with that car.

They put a few miles on it. The next morning CEL and Service Engine came on. Don't want to clog up your thread with my BS.

Damn! That is unbelievable. And it's alright, I love talking about the ST in general. Good luck, Dave. What a headache.

Looks like I'll need to start driving to Chicago for gas. It costs me $55-$60 to fill the Jetta with 87.

Nice progress in general Anything you miss from the TSX?

I'm still in a decent mood about the car right now. It's just annoying at the moment. I mean, if Ford called me and offered my money back or another ST, I would probably take them up on a '14 ST.

Until the new GTI comes out there's nothing around $30k that interests me as much as the Focus ST does.

That said, if I'm still having this issue in October, who knows

Sorry for the late response. I did really like the navi and infotainment operation of the TSX. Acura did very well in that regard. I don't have too many issues with MFT but it makes me think how I never had issues with Acura's system.

Other than that... I don't really miss much. The power in the EcoBoost is addicting and the Recaro seats are so comfortable. For the first six months of ownership, I've received tenfold the amounts of compliments on the ST compared to the eight years I had the TSX! But I did love that car. It served me very well for that time.

I bought myself some filters for my camera and I took a quick shot with the circular polarizing filter. I really like how the reflections in the windows are no longer there. I made a quick GIF showing the difference. This should really come in handy the next time I take some photos.

No filter -> CPL filter

I am very tempted to join Fuely....I have my fuel logs on an excel and I have tracked it for over 4 years and 100K miles....

I loaded the excel on google drive so I can access it from anywhere at anytime....but this does seem like a good option....

You can even add fill ups manually... if you wanted to take the time to do all of your past ones. But I love this website.

EDIT: You can import them, too! https://www.fuelly.com/csv-format.gas

I use the iPhone App Road Trip. It's similar I'm sure. You can even back up your stats to Dropbox in case you ever loose your phone/get a new one. But I do like the Fuely banners showing your stats online. Pretty cool.

On a related note, wow, that gas mileage is incredible. That's the only thing that makes me miss a 4 banger, the great MPGs.

- Had the FMIC now for over a month (stage 3) and it's been running great. I need to do a photoshoot and take some pictures of it.

- Had the ST dynoed on a Mustang dyno right afterwards but was not happy with the numbers (232hp 276tq). They started the run too late (3000 RPM, should be around 1700) as the peak torque comes in early. I plan to either go back and have it redone or go to another shop that I know has a Dynojet. I also had a beta FSWERKS tune on at the time.

- Been playing with a tune with launch control and it's really fun. First gear, clutch in, throttle in and revs hold at 2700 RPM, drop or slip and off you go. I have to practice feathering the throttle after the launch because if I keep it WOT the tires spin all the way through first gear. I took some video of a few launches but unfortunately the new external mic I tried is way too quiet, sounds like garbage, and is not good for use such as this. I will try again.

- My MPG for my last four tanks has been 28.8, 28.3, 29.0, and 28.3. I've been very happy with it and believe the mods have really helped improve it.

- Next up I have an intake runner to install.

29 MPG with what seems like more than 300 lb.ft of torque... You've got an amazing car.

I'll second FSWerks latest tune. The car hauls serious ass. I don't do stoplight runs but if I'm trying to get around someone, the car puts me in the back of my seat. It's really strong. My MPG, however, is much lower than Ryan's

Update! Getting ready for spring soon (yeah it's not here yet - it snowed a couple of inches last night). Glad I didn't put my summer tires and wheels on yet! Hopefully in early May I will be able to.

But back on 4.10.14 I surpassed my best MPG: 29.9 MPG.

It's been the absolute worst winter I can ever remember. However, the ST did great. Never had any problems with snow or ice or anything. Couldn't be happier!

I really only took a couple of photos of the ST all winter:

And now this morning. Is it really April 14th?

So plans for this Spring are:
  1. Swap on the summer tire & wheel set
  2. Install Turbosmart BoV (while front passenger wheel is off)
  3. Spring hand wash, clay bar, wax, and polish
  4. Install rear motor mount
  5. Install intake runner
  6. Install rear sway bar

I'd also like to get it on the Dynojet. And finally, track and/or autocross time!

The 2015, styling aside, is going to be light years better than the 2014. Can't wait to sit in one.

I wonder if I can fit my dogs in the back?

We got some snow this morning too

Props for keeping the car clean during the winter, too. I would never have that kind of perseverance.

Nice fuel mileage too. Does it ever bother you not having broken 30 MPG yet?

Cool update.

Agreed, it was 90 fkng degrees today. That seems like all you fuckers are living on another planet!

Awesome plans for the car,
I personally agree with you on that 2015 Mustang...no more live axle, right? RIGHT!?!? This friggin mustang might be able to take corners?!?! Might still take a few years for them to figure out how to keep it TAME in the corners, but headed in the right direction and I'm a fan of the new styling...those that hate it, have no imagination...imagine a properly modified one?!?
