I hope Santa does.

Stopped and took a photo on one of the back roads I was driving through.

There is no break-in period and the manual states to drive at various or alternating speeds for the first 1,000 miles.

My MS6 has what's called a tri-coat metallic pearl and they matched the paint really well. If they can match red that well a silver metallic would be a snap. But the key is you have to like the fin look to like the end results. If you're not a fan of it just keep the stubby.

I'm a little hesitant to call it the "hottest hatch" since in 99% of the tests out there the Mazdaspeed3 is faster. "Most well rounded hatch" would be more fitting. It's the best of both worlds... Refined like the GTI and fast like the MS3.

About to order a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition from Best Buy and pick it up here locally.

If you order online on their website you get a free SanDisk 8GB microSD Class 10 memory card. And the 32GB is only $27.99 with free shipping.

Free 8GB card as a backup? Sounds good to me.

Ford really hit it out of the ball park on this one. Really throwing VW, Mazda and Subaru up against the wall for the 'hot hatch' market. If only it was RWD or AWD

First time ever seeing it in silver and I'm having a hard time seeing why more people don't buy this color! It looks fantastic compared to the Yellow and Black ones I've seen locally.

I can control the GoPro via the App on the iPhone, plus I have the wireless WiFi remote.

I was really surprised with how tiny it is.

Last night at Best Buy picking it up.

I also checked out the Apps and services on Sync/MFT.

Weather.

And sports, which unfortunately the screen goes blank with a "in motion" message once the car is in motion.

I mounted the suction cup to the glass of the moonroof for a good cockpit point of view. However, after reviewing the video, it seems that the camera picked up some static and a bit of vibration.

For in-car shots, does anyone have any recommendations for locations to mount, or a way to reduce static and vibration? Thanks.

I just realized I didn't install the rubber vibration dampener on the damn mount. That should help.

EDIT: Wait, I don't get it. It's only for the quick release. I can't use the quick release and suction cup accessory at the same time...

I was hitting the shutter button on the iPhone App.

Can't wait to soften out the vibrations and get some better footage.

That car sounds really good.

As far as the Hero, I purchased the head mount, put it on my head, and presto-chango, no vibrations. Example video I did earlier this year here:

No thread hijack intended. Just wanted to show you how helpful this mount was for me.

Damn that video is crystal clear. I should have asked Santa for that

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that setup cost you? What is the camera mounted to? I've been eying buying one but haven't exactly done the research.

In for a longer video! Dat boost

Thanks. I love hearing the engine note.

I was looking at the head mount. It's pretty cheap and not a bad idea to pick up. But with the head turning it can be a bit distracting sometimes. But there's good parts I could take from a recording. And I appreciate the feedback and suggestions. I'm always looking for ideas.

The Hero3 Black Edition is $399. I also bought the suction cup accessory for $29.99. So far I have the suction cup mounted on the glass of the moonroof with an elbow joint attached and then the GoPro attached at the end. The image also has to be flipped. I'll try to take a picture of the setup in the morning.

Also took some more video this evening. Working on one now and some more photos.

^ Do you think it could just be wind noise from the moon roof?

Oh and wow the engine sounds great! I wonder if I can retrofit an intake sound symposium on my MS6?

Okay, I've read that static may be caused due to a hardware problem with the microSD card. My Sandisk 32GB Class 10 is being delivered today, so hopefully that will help solve it.

I will also try to do some video recording with the camera out of the shell and see if any static is still apparent.

I got a question, so you know you've heard of some youtube videos that the police caught them speeding through that?? What do you consider a "safe" video to put up and another thats not??

I mean obviously dont put a video with you doing excess of 100 where its clearly visible. But where is the cutoff?? Doing 80 in a 65 won't get you any attention i'm sure.
What about driving spiritedly through the canyon??

just dont get too carried away OP, with at least posting it on an open online forum haha

also, that gopro does take some incredible shots. I didnt think it was that good.
