No problem. This will be my 3rd black car in a row! Yep...11 years of black cars! Curious to see what the paint is like on this car, as compared to my last 2 Acks.

Just realized: I have no front license plate bracket on this car! Must be why I love the front end.

The problem is, in NJ I have to have a front plate.

Maybe I'll try one of the flip up plate holders. They mount under the bumper. Just not sure about the front splitter.

Any suggestions?

I've heard of Craig's Custom Mustang Brackets but I hear they don't work on Honeycomb grilles like mine. Maybe it'll work on yours?

I'll probably give the guy an email and ask about that.

How strict is the NJ State Gestapo anyway in regards to a front plate? State inspections I assume would require one right.

Don't worry. Plates required here too. But my car will NEVER EVER EVER have holes in the bumper. I told my dealer, when I ordered it, no holes in bumper whatsoever or I refuse delivery.

I just use zip ties for it if I feel the need for it.

That says it all. fawkin NJ.

You can't take a dump in this state without a permit. Then they tax you to flush.

I don't want to attach anything to the grille itself, unless I try the zip tie thing that Integra2TSX suggested.

I'm gonna give this a try. Yay for my first mod.

Just be careful you don't scrape off your front plate on a tough driveway.

Yeah...I know. I'd rather destroy my plate than drill my bumper.

yeah pttl, I was looking at those flip ones too, maybe someday. But still, have to drill in the bumper (albeit underneath). For now, zip ties when I know I have to drive through popo infested areas, or on long highway cruise, etc. Then snip snip quickly when parked, etc. I put blue painters and electrical tape on bumper and plate, respectively, to avoid rubbing/scratching by the plate.

I'll take a pic sometime of it zip tied for you.

Another thing you can do, use a nut, bolt and washers to hold the plate. Works great on honeycomb grilles.

Oh I have a PC. Just not up to it this time around. The paint is in surprisingly good shape. I just gave it a good coat of UPP after the claying. Nice and slick!

I love the functional hood. I would just suggest taking the badge off the front grille.

I like the badge but for some reason, I think it belongs on the V6.

The Tri Bar Pony badge is associted with the v6, because it is usually where the "5.0" badge is on the v8. I like what they did with it on the front grille for the CS.

The thing I like most about the Mustang (current gen.) is the total absence of the blue oval.

black is my favorite color for any car by default, but sometimes some cars have a color that is just as good as black.

Four star ultimate paint protection? That's the best stuff on black!

The only colors I'm not very fond of on the Stang are Grabber Blue and Race Reed....very childish. Oh...the new "gotta have it Green"...not so much.

Yep.

Btw, detailing is my other fetish (I have many). You'll be sick to your stomach if I told you how much I have spent in detailing products in my garage and storage (I have a a fridge dedicated solely to LSPs and waxes, must be stored at a constant temp).

If you like 4star, you should try souveran on top of 4star, also try fuzion on top, also try dodo juice supernatural. My favorite thus far is chemical guys blacklight then v7 on top. I have an order of glossworkz glaze coming soon. I have had 5 black cars in a row too... That was in my younger days...lol

That thing is definitely drool worthy. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And I agree, on a Mustang you either get a manual or don't get one at all.

Thank you.

After driving it for a few days I find it interesting, the car has so much torque, especially with the 3.73 gears, that for putting around town I find the use of 3 gears to be plenty. Start off in 2nd, shift to 4th then to 6th, or 5th depending on where you are. Pretty cool!
