Yeah...as much as I love this car...and I really do, I'm not blind to what it's "shortcomings" are. I've never been a fanboy of anything I've ever owned and that won't change, it's just how I am.

That said, I MUST say....This is BY FAR the most enjoyable car I've EVER owned. Even bone stock this thing is a blast to drive.

The odd thing is... all during the 11 years I owned Acks, and before that Hondas, and Nissans, and Toyotas and even a BMW....I've never felt the desire to tinker with, and Mod a car like I do with this one. This car feels like it has a soul. I love spending time getting to know it. And believe me when I say this....there is nothing out there that compares to it. Period! If you are looking for a sporty coupe for under $60K....this is the one.

Linky? Proven commodity on the S197 mustang? If and when I do this, I'm gonna do it right.

Side note: on my trip home tonight a FAWKING bird flew into the lower front grille of my car as I was on the highway at about 75mph. I think it cracked a spot on my lower fascia. WTF?!?!?!?!?

Why are you changing it out so soon? Is you computer telling you, you are due? Are you going to do synthetic blend or full synthetic? I'll probably go right to full synthetic. I know oil changes are going to be big bucks with 8 quarts of capacity. ooofff.

I want to make sure it's clear of metal shavings and stuff like that. I doubt I'd see anything but it's for some peace of mind.
I plan on another one at 5,000 and then follow regular intervals. I've been trying to hunt down some Mobil 1 full synthetic with no success, O'Reillys has a sale for $6.99/quart. I'd have to get 9 quarts or 8.5 to be exact.

Yeah. I guess tracking down the 5 -50 Mobil 1 oil can be a pain. I forgot that you track pack guys have to go with 5-50. 6.99 a quart is not bad though... stock up!

Damnit, this thread is making me jealous. I almost went with the '13 Mustang GTCS, exactly like yours (6MT, Cold Weather Pckg, Nav), but in Performance White. Ahhh. She's a beauty. I absolutely love the changes the 2013 model has. Congrats!

Thank you Sir. So far she's been great. They do have some flaws though. PM if you want to talk.

My wife mainly drives it now cause it has the kids' seats in it. I drive a 97 Jeep GC...which ain't much faster...actually I think its slower 0-60.

The Prius isn't that bad...you can gas it a bit when you need to but no, its no torque or speed demon.

My wife and I have lead foots, we dont get the "claimed" mpg the prius touts. Which is fine...the lease is up in 10 months. I like the car but I'm ready to get something else (wife HATES it.)

What kind of gas mileage are you getting?

I may take you up on that talk. Acura just canceled my order on the TL so I'm back to square one.

If you need to ask then it's probably not the car for you lol. I get around 15mpg combined in mine. Around 20-21 on the highway. Basically, the best mileage I can get is the worst I can get in my TL but I think the gas mileage should be pretty similar to a 4G with AWD.

Why did they cancel your order anyway?

I average about 17.5 - 18 in mixed driving. When cruising on the hwy at 80 mph I am around 22 - 23 mpg. I've seen 24 -25 at 65 -70 mph. Pretty good, if you ask me, for a 420 hp V8.

Btw I just turned over 3K miles this week.

I think the 4G SH-AWD can get a bit better than that.

Acura canceled all orders for the 2012 TL due to the changeover to the 2013.

That's not bad at all, I agree. Congrats on the 3K... and I imagine your MPGs should only improve a bit over time.

That wasn't very bright given their current sales issues.

Sorry, late on the reply, but the most telling thing is to drive a car with a Watts link after having experience in one without one. This is a tall order, but perhaps if you hook up with the local Mustang club, someone may autocross it and let you try it out

My own sources would be from the F-Body autocross side... it is a steep price though an adjustable panhard bar to compensate when you lower the car is fine, it's just that a Watts link is better.
