Got Five Oh?
Yep. Looked and researched for a long time. I think I got the right one!
On another note....What do you guys think areasonable price would be to pay for 3M clear bra? I've contacted a local shop and they're saying 595 -795. Does that seem right?

Congrats man!!!
So glad my buddy's story with his '12 GT didn't scare you away. I know you were on top of that and have been frequenting the forum he was on, and IMO his issue was 1 in a million. All the best luck with it. The CS package looks awesome!

That sounds about right. Just make sure that includes full bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors at the very least. I also had a pillars, lower rockers behind wheels, door pockets, and trunk panel done for just a tad more. See this thread for more info.

I know there are bad things that can happen to any car. I was just so freaked out because I was lulled into pretty good reliability for the past 11 yrs with the Acks.
Hopefully she'll hold up well for me.
I'll be doing smaller stuff before i get to major components. The cool thing is....the cars almost invite you to be tinkering.
Waiting for the clearbro and tint to cure...blemishes oooffff.Like Hapa said, the black car makes it look darker. Just hope I don't attract the attention of the :police:
Thanks Man! The valve stem caps crack me up!
Suspension mods will be a ways out. I'm still not sure all thats involved...pan hard bars etc.

35% tint fronts
20% tint rears
Clear Bra all over, including custom pieces
GT500 axle backs (favorite mod)
MGW shifter/knob (also favorite mod hehehe.)
FRPP K springs (also favorite mod...can I have 3 favorites?)
BMR adjustable panhard bar
Hoen fogs
GT500 mudflaps
MRT struts
Boss coil covers
3DCarbonn500 spoiler
I forgot, that I don't have my sig updated here yet. Yes you will need springs then an adjustable panhard bar, BMR is the best. Here's my mods.

So you didn't go with FRPP shocks and struts? How about sway bars?
What does the pan hard bar do?
Questions questions.....
Love the new mustangs. They've been getting better and better since the last generation All they need from the factory is a lower suspension IMO.
Congrats on the purchase!!!
Congrats on the purchase!!!
I'm a little late to this thread but, congratulations nonetheless. There was a current gen black 5.0 riding my Accord's bumper waiting for a clear up in the next lane before pouncing....which it ultimately did.
I couldn't help but think that this is the best Mustang to date and may be a consideration for the coupe purchase the wife and I are budgeting for in 2013. (The 04-06 M3 still rides atop our current list of candidates.
)
Good luck with the Stang!!

As for sway bars, the stock ones are fine for now. I'd want to upgrade them eventually.... but I'm saving up for a Roushcharger or a Ford Whipple.

The panhard bar re-centers the rear axle once lowered. If you think about it, with that diagonal cross member in the rear centering the axle (fixed on one end), as you lower it, the ends will skew and one end up being pushed outboard, and another end inboard. So the adjustable panhard bar does just that. It allows to re-center the axle equally on both sides. You can install this yourself and re-center it using a plumb bob or the like, but I just had my shop who installed my springs do this.
Results? Perfect centering.

The ride with the K's are much improved. More compliant during turns, with less dive. Ideally, I would have wanted Koni struts, but I will change them someday. I don't track, etc.... so I am not worried about wearing out the stock components. If they do, perfect, I will replace at that time. With me putting on maybe 3k a year, I doubt they will ever need replacing. Car will be gone by the time it will need them. LOL.

I tried to join TMS but something went wrong with my subscription. I can log in but I can't post.
Honestly, depending on the level of equipment, a new '13 could probably be had for similar money.
You can get deals on them. You just need to find dealers who will deal.
charliemike...You can get the 42K discounted to 38 without too much trouble. Biggest bang for the automotive buck you can find. imho. Look at the larger dealerships in your neck of the woods.
Yes, eight.
After having seen a few 13's on the road now, I have to say I prefer the new front end over the 10-12.
And am I dreaming or did they make the '5.0' on the side bigger than it was in 11-12?
