So, finally saw the new Mercedes cross-over, that GLE...I thought the Bimbim X6 was an abomination on wheels. Nope. We now have a new in the ugly.

I feel like we've talked about this before but I was just reading about the new M5 having 600hp. At some point this crazy hp chasing has to stop right? Or in 5yrs are we all going to have 1000hp DD

 

Id take a 500 Abarth or the 124 Abarth (Fiata)

But I also happen to like the X4, X6, GLC and GLE...I think the GLC and GLE are among some of Mercedes better designs.

 

And the AMG models are even worse.

 

I know it's a Fiat, but I don't really consider a 124 a Fiat. Or, at least, it's a Fiat but it's not Italian.

And I am not so I cannot take credit for the 124

So I finally found some time and got some real Non-RFT summer tires for my car.... In the past 20k miles, i got used to the shitty RFT and settled for it.

Got the Hankook V12, which i used on my s2k, and 335i. The first right turn after the new tires were installed reminded me why i hated the RFT so much. My car feels like the car just went through a 300 lbs diet.
The noise, handling and acceleration are all dramatically improved. Maybe it is in my head, but even the turbo lag is reduced.
