Just to share something that happened yesterday and i have 1 question
I kinda feel bad about the whole thing... but i know i did the right thing.
I was waiting at a light and i was going parallel with a beat up Camry to my right when the light turned green. I notice he started to get closer and closer to me, i did not have time to honk, so i tried to accelerate trying to avoid him. But unfortunately, he still got me in the rear passenger 1/4 panel and my wheel.
Then that fool did not want to stop, so i did what i had to do to get him pulled into a small street and stopped. My GF opened the door and was about to give him ( a young 20 yrs old looking guy) a can of whoop ass. I had to hold her back
He did not have Drive license (could be suspended) or insurance and the car is not even his.
The damage on my car is not bad... just some paint scrapes and a small dent on my fender. He started crying. He thought i was going to shoot him and he thought i hit him, not he hit me. i was like you serious dude? why would i want to hit a 1999 Camry.
He tried to offer me $100 and he tried everything to stop me from calling the cops.
I did not have a choice since he has NOTHING. Cop came, wrote a collision exchange report with a Incident #. The Cop told me that i could use that with my insurance. It states that the other drive has no insurance. At this point, there is no point for me to report anything to insurance.
Then, i was on my way and that fool was standing on the street waiting for his car to be towed.
Today, i feel kinda bad, asking myself if i should have let him go since my damage is not bad at all. Not even worth going through insurance. some elbow grease and PDR will fix everything.
My question, when the cop came, he did not even ask me what happened. He just took down my and his info, and told that guy that his court date and the need to get his license and insurance fixed before court date. The cop even told him that he will help him on the court if he can get everything sorted out. That is all fine with me... since i don't expect to get any thiing out of him anyway. But should he at least ask me how the accident happened? How is he going to write the police report, if he does not know what happened?

So, one of our stores just got in this '14 Stingray with some appearances mods (I think they're the same wheels as Steven's). 7MT, 3LT-option, and 14,300 miles.

It's... pretty tempting to trade the Z in on. Might swing by next Monday and see what they're willing to offer. Judging by the current market & guys asking $35-40K for similar conditions, I may be able to walk away from Z with little depreciation.

I just think the C6Z will go down in history as one of the best American performance cars ever. And, I would keep that in mind while pondering your decision. I could possibly say the same about the C7GS, but not that one you quoted.

Not sure. Beyond the rawness, the C7 is a nicer ride all around; GM really upped their game with it. I'm not pushing the Z to its limits admittedly, so this C7 may something more suited for me. I may just need to spend a day out in mine to fully appreciate it.
It looks easy enough to reverse, though. The hood seems like it may be just a fake carbon overlay. Not sure about the red striping.
I totally get everyone not feeling the looks; it is pretty gaudy.
I don't doubt that, either. They're still going for what I scooped mine up for, so the market appears to be holding strong still.
A C7 GS or Z06 would an easy decision to trade in, but cost is out of the question. We have a '17 GS & a '16 Z06, but they're asking $65,000 w/ 8,000miles & $81,000 w/ 600miles respectively. This C7 alone, after we ran some numbers at work would likely be another $100/month on top of what I pay for C6Z. That alone is swaying my pondering to trade.
I'm still interested in driving it with the 7-speed though if anything, to see how it feels in comparison.

What a waste! Those people do not deserve that car.
I followed a GT3 RS once to vegas for a good 30+ miles on I-15.... for 1 reason... he was going 55 mph. Was he trying to max his MPG or something? I wanted to see how long he could have kept at 55mph....
At the end i ran out of patience to play with him....Fucking waste!

Well, I might be coming back to Honda life.
Shopping for a minivan with wifey. It would make our life much better since we have a 8 month boy with 2 dogs and we want to have another kid in a year. The Avant is just about right for the cargo size right now, but it just isn't comfy enough.
We were pretty much set on getting the Sienna SE since it looks the best, I always loved that one.
BUT wife and I happened to pass by a local Honda dealer and checked out the brand new Odyssey. It's actually very impressive. Will be getting some quotes for it.
I'm pretty much set on getting the new Type R next year for 2019MY. Can't wait. Going to sell both the Avant and Miata soon.
