Quite possibly. That is a situation where if it is possible to rip it all out and put in conventional bits I would.

I know exactly what you mean.

I'll enhance the exhaust note at some point in the future. Deciding what I want.

When I sold my TL, I listed it on AutoTrader.com, Cars.com, eBay, and the Acurazine Blackmarket. The person who bought it saw it on both AutoTrader and Cars.com

nope but they have an option that guarantees a sale or your money back sounds like a good deal to me

(assuming they still have that, they had it years back)

I'm going to start posting before and afters or just random pictures of jobs in the shop.

This is a 2011 Wrangler we are getting started on. It's getting a new frame, axle, drive shaft as well as other suspension components. It's getting a new bumper, right fender, flare, windshield and various other little things.

first time seeing of these, in fact, I have never even heard about it before (and I don't see an official thread for it over at the Automotive News forum)

Dodge Citadel, a 7 seater, basically looked like a bigger Durango

so i had an interesting thought earlier.

You know how the new M5 relays some engine sound through the sound system cause theres so much insulation in the car the car will sound kinda quiet inside without it.

What happens if you mod the exhaust and its well loud enough. Now you will have two different tunes coming into your cabin I hope theres a simple way to disable that sound for the people that do get exhausts.

Hmmmmm, I never thought about that.

Maybe there is some sort of control though iDrive that allows you to adjust the volume level.

I love the new Durangos (and Grand Cherokees), but as with most Chrysler products, Id like to see how well the design ages.

IIRC you can disable the exhaust sound in the M5. My car has something similar, but its just a simple tube coming off the intake pipe that channels sound into the cabin. I hate it and will be removing it.

Although, I think it was Perrin that posted a diagram as a joke. They turbocharged it, and had that sound tube attached to the blow off valve.

The front right rail was pushed to the left. We could of pulled it on our frame bench and it would of gone right back into specs and been fine. But with such a new vehicle it was an easy sell to the insurance company to get a new frame. More hours for the tec and more money for me.

The 2013 S4 has a similar feature. I believe you can shut it off through their MMI...

If you guys had a car with some exhaust amplification/piping feature, would you turn it off if you could?
I think I would leave it if it had some regular piping like the Mustang, but something like the M5's going through the speakers I would turn off.

Maker, what happens to that frame? Do you or the insurance company sell it to someone who can fix it and put a body on it, or is it junked?

We can fix it. What I'm saying is we make more money getting a new one. We will scrape the old one. If I knew someone that needed it I would sell it to them but there isn't much demand for a 2011 Wrangler frame.

why take out a pipe that just helps push some sound into the cabin? At least its coming through the pipe. Speakers is a whole other thing. But i'd think that a pipe diverting some sound into the cabin would be fine. I dunno though since i doubt my acura has it haha

Autoblog review of the ATS out ... Positive but not glowing review.

Looks like the 2.0T is going to be a $40k car with CUE, etc. 3.6L is going to be closer to $50k

No wonder Lincoln thought they could sell $50k MKZ with their 3.7L and AWD.
