pics shamelessly stolen from willdogs:

How do you guys feel about the polished muffler look?
I dont think it looks quite right but i have a friend who says it doesnt look right unless they are shining bright. I may pick up a set of universals and flat black the mufflers and leave the tips shiny
what do you guys think about the look?

Got a pic of the same type of cars/exhausts with black cans? Without seeing it and just being able to imagine, I think it would look weird having black cans with polished tips (as long as you can see some part of the cans). I guess I'm either/or...either all polished or all black, but not mixing the two .

I guess the other way is like... stock? Since you dont really notice your stock cans ever. Unless thats mainly because stock cans are positioned further back, but i feel like they would be visible too if polished

I had polished cans on mine, but I recently switched exhausts and now have Magnaflows in natural SS. I will be painting or coating them black though (with stainless tips).
I think it all depends on the design of the cans. The Magnaflows I have wouldnt look right if they were polished. The TSX and CL above look good though.

I have the same tsx, different rear bumper, and am considering the same magnaflows... maybe ill just check out his in person and decide and if anything ill order a can of paint on amazon

Black cans with polished tips works for the Mustang, but not the Civic (or whatever that is). As civic said, it depends on the design of the cans (and the car/bumper cutout).

The first pic is the look Im going for.

Same... I think... and well idk its hard to picture this perfectly on my bumper
your right chill, theres probably no perfect answer
just remembered this: this is the same bumper/color car with the same mufflers, only difference with mine has no blackout tails
update us with pics if you get around to painting your cans civic, it would be much easier for me to paint my mufflers while they are off the car if I decide to do so

So I finally got new tires yesterday at firestone, and on my drive home I noticed that my brake light would come on when i go above 20mph and would generally go off when i went below the speed as well. Sometimes if i'm going like 50 and start slowing down it will turn off before i get to low speeds. It doesnt seem like my hadbrake is on, maybe something is just wrong with the sensor?
You think its coincidence and I should take it back to firestone and have them check it? Or just leave it, if I dont sense that the handbrake is on? My car has the foot handbrake and I made sure a hundred times it was off.

I had the same thing happen when my rear calipers seized. The car would slow down by itself and the brake lights would illuminate.
Do you smell anything when stopped or when getting out of the car?

What does it mean that your rear calipers seized? The hand brake isnt releasing properly?

Check the fluid though, that could cause the brake light to light up. Although, I would expect that to be on all the time if it is low. Firestone could have nicked one of the ABS sensors.
If it isnt the fluid, take it back ASAP and have them look at what is wrong. If they cant find anything wrong, talk to the manager, make sure it is well known (preferably in writing) that after they worked on the car this issue came up. Then take it to the dealer to have them diagnose it. Make the shop pay for everything.

I like polished mufflers. Though overall, I still prefer polished double wall tips with the mufflers either set farther back or not showing....
Also, quad exhaust > *
I really like the F12, now my opinion of it is changing.
I've always hated, hated the M coupe variants of the Z3/Z4. Looks like a damn shoe, don't piss in my ear and tell me it's raining.

Every direction???? NO!
It bulges in all the right directions:
Massive wheel arches and a hood that stretches for miles covering that glorious 315hp I6. The Z4M is an bloated shell of its former self.

Meh. It's okay but I like the streamlined look of the Z4M Coupe more. The roof line is

Ok, I can agree that the roof line is a bit more stream lined, but I dont like how it looks like its been tacked onto the trunk. The blind spots are horrendous as well. But to be fair, I never really liked that Z4.

I don't like either of them
I actually like the E36 318ti, mainly this one with M-Parallels... maybe the M-Parellels are the reason why I like it though.
but I hate any and all M coupes along with the Z4 coupe. I dislike the Z4 coupe slightly less though. I don't get it, I like long, bulgy hoods, flared fenders, hatchbacks and BMWs. But I don't like M coupes
now, THIS I like....

also, another rendering I found, never seen it before. dunno what's up with the bloody teardrop thing coming from the headlight, but overall me gusta.
supposedly a rendering of a proposed green BMW exotic sports car, the Z10 ED or whatever. Not sure If I'd want a car named ED though.

It just baffles me. I love this:
But I never have, and never will like either M Coupe. Regardless of what it has, what it can do.... it's kind of like the GT-R. But I dislike them both with regards to styling, GT-R moreso, especially considering that they sacrificed looks and a regular manual transmission in order to achieve greater performance. I've always been form over function, but when it comes to a car's styling, you should rarely, if ever sacrifice it to achieve something practical.
That's just me, I'm all over the place. For my next commuter I'm looking to either get a Civic Hybrid or some older VW TDI.... or maybe a small pickup.... or a 250cc motorcycle ah don't mind me, I'm just over here... hating. If they gave the M Coupe a traditional coupe profile, I'm sure I'd love it. I actually like the 1-series, especially in M guise.

The thing is though, I know it's not an easy car to like. So I don't have any trouble with you not liking it, I know it's not easy to swallow.
#997
yeah I know, to each his own. You can't influence someone into liking or disliking something, unless maybe there is something important they don't know about.
It just looks like I should be wearing it on my foot, not driving it. Same with the Panamera

I LOVE the M Coupe.
If I could find a Laguna Seca Blue one...I'd risk divorce to buy it.
