So my friend cracked her rear bumper at the back right corner. Its maybe a couple inches long, I have a pic I may post it later if needed but she was telling me she may want to replace her bumper because she thinks its unsafe.
I told her to save her money and there's no harm in driving around like that. Its the chassis that does all the protection and the bumper is just a ltl crumple zone.
I just wanted to be sure I'm right. There's no safety concerns about a small crack in the bumper right?

Ok, so we've determined that we need pics of her (the) rear end. speedemon90, we're counting on you.
But, if you should happen to fail beyond all possible belief, a cracked bumper cover is no big deal, whatsoever.

Okay, you know what? We'll meet you halfway.
You can blur her forehead, so we can't identify her.

yea final judgement cant be made till the car is actually released. And motor trend says 2500 so I dunno who's right.
As for steering my mom has an accord v6 which is a lot heavier in the front so that is probably the reason for that, but I doubt the coupe 4cyl is anything like any of the options I've said. The accord coupe I'm guessing is mechanically the same as the sedan so its meant to go against competitors like the camry. While any of the cars I've mentioned are against the top performing cars in its class.
The accord name is a family car, but in my mind I dont consider it a family car. And Connie isnt buying it to be a family car so it doesn't have to negate the other options.
I can't say I've ever sat in the back of the GTI, but you get more cargo space. BUT and this is a big BUT. The GTI is the only car I know in this price range that puts its seats back to the original position after moving forward. I think any coupe should be designed like this. I would hate re-adjusting my seat.
GTI has better quality interior, that can't be said for the BRZ and FRS, those interiors are probably trash. Thats where all the trade off is though. Trashy interiors means better stuff under the hood.
Honda is currently building cars without enthusiasts in mind, which I hope changes soon, I like honda just not any of their current lineup, Toyota has realized that they want to offer a car for enthusiats. VW has been doing this for some time now. And subaru has been for longer.

I own an Accord and would take a BRZ/FRS all day before an Accord coupe, even a 6MT. One is a small, light, rear-wheel drive, properly balanced sports car. The other is a two-door version of a competent family sedan.

If your "friend" is talking about the 8G Accord Coupe, he has his numbers wrong. They weigh nearly 3500lbs - and you feel every single one.
And at the Accord steering being responsive. I get better feedback holding a wet noodle in the wind. Has he driven many cars or has he just been behind the wheel of Accords all his life?

I dont really know him haha, he's my friends bf so he isn't my friend.
But I think h'es been with honda his whole life and he works at a honda dealership, mechanic or something like that.
I've barely been behind many different cars and even I can tell you dont get feedback from an accord. The steering is pretty accurate though, you just dont get feedback. You dont have to drive many cars to know that, but my tl does give more feedback.

Aside from the S2k and NSX, Honda hasnt had decent steering feel in 10 years or so.
