sounds like it was in need of an alignment. i.e. a case of "don't shoot the messenger"

hey speak for yourself, that Blazer was fairly sweet for it's time. We took it on many road trips and it never failed us or broke down. I ran out of gas in it once.

oh sh*t well done Toyota!

http://www.fiawec.com/races/6-hours-of-silverstone.html

The #8 Toyota TS-040 Hybrid of Sebastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Nicolas Lapierre won the 6 Hours of Silverstone and the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, ahead of their sister car of Alexander Wurz, Stephane Sarrazin and Kazuki Nakajima while world champions Audi suffered their worst race for three years as both R18 e-tron quattros crashed out.

Porsche 919 was 3rd.

The Aerostar was my family's travel vehicle...uncomfortable as heck...those seats were of the suck. A/C only worked when it felt like it. Stopped on hills or when you gave it gas.

I also became a part-time stunt driver with this POS. Wheels were not great and the car skidded when I slammed on the breaks once and I pulled off a "ski".

Bet none of y'all ever drove YOUR cars on 2 wheels.

You know, srika (not being snarky here)...but, we may as well shut down all other car-related sub-forums (i.e. motorsports) and threads if this thread is meant to be the be-all to post all information?

Why not post that in Motorsports?

It helps for searching and categorizing information, if you ask me.

Also cars in general are good investments cause you're not limited to the jobs you can take assuming you dont live in a city that has amazing public transportation and all your job outlooks are within that city.
I am not a regular car buyer, but from my experience, this is the way I see buying used cars: If you buy a used car that has a nice price reduction on it compared to new model, then I think it's OK. After that period it would depreciate at a fairly "regular" schedule. I personally do think it makes a lot more "sense" to buy a used car vs. new.

Worst vehicle I've driven was a '90s Dodge Stratus.

Flaring in what seemed like every gear. No power even once the gears were engaged. Engine noise wasn't pleasant either. I've gotten more steering feel out of video games. And when you did turn, it felt like understeer was going to take hold at any moment.

I didn't choose it, but also had a 200 rental. The interior design felt like it was at least 10 years old. Similar complaints to the Stratus. More of the same from Doge.

Which is why I haven't moved it.

Just asking. Different philosophies in categorizing information, I guess. But, I think putting posts in the right thread has its merits.

Whatever, not meant (honestly) to start some wildfire here. Just asking.

There's a difference between a shitty car.. and knowing that a wrong twitch with the steering wheel would stamp your tombstone.

The worst car i have driven is the Element.

i have driven plenty of cheap rentals, yes they suck but at least you will not fly off the freeway.

Element has Aero is as good as a 18 wheelers. High and Boxy.

Car is so out of control whenever it is slightly windy and 16mpg for a 160hp car isn't Honda.

Anyone who sit in the back will get car sick because some idiot thought it would be wise the make the rear seat higher than the front.

TLX is at least debatable.

Element is not. It tries to do everything and does nothing well... well actually that does sound familiar.

worst car ever driven? wow... I think it would have to be a 90's Ford Econoline 12-passenger van that we rented and drove to Dallas (from Chicago). Wait do rentals count? heh. Steering sucked ass, the van was darting all over the place.

1st MT car driven: friend's '74 Beetle - that was pretty rough, but I can't ever call it anything because it was so classic.

2nd: friend's '90 Acura Legend coupe. SWEET ASS car.

3rd: my '98 Supra Turbo.

Econoline does not count. It carries 12 people!!!

but it does look unstable on the freeway sometimes tho. Do they have to make it so tall with Superior than superior ground clearance with skinny tires?

My worst cars were an '83 Dodge Aries and an '89 Buick Skylark.

I bought them both and wish I had bought something else in '89 because I probably would have still be driving it in '94 when I bought that shitty Buick.

My worst car ever driven was a rental Geo Metro when my wife and I were looking for an apartment in Provo, UT where I was headed for Grad School. I thought I was going to have to push that thing up hills and want to talk about a CHEAP interior? Holy.Crap.

I kind of wish I was born a decade or two earlier. All the crap cars would've been so much more interesting. Now the worst car you could get is like a '99 Neon. Still bad, but not dangerous enough to be interesting.

Worst car I've ever driven would probably be a U-Haul Econoline van. Live axles front and rear, with nothing in the back would get a little freaky at highway speeds or going over railway tracks.

Overpriced at any price.

ETA: Love the TIME description of the Trabant :

This is the car that gave Communism a bad name. Powered by a two-stroke pollution generator that maxed out at an ear-splitting 18 hp, the Trabant was a hollow lie of a car constructed of recycled worthlessness (actually, the body was made of a fiberglass-like Duroplast, reinforced with recycled fibers like cotton and wood). A virtual antique when it was designed in the 1950s, the Trabant was East Germany's answer to the VW Beetle — a "people's car," as if the people didn't have enough to worry about. Trabants smoked like an Iraqi oil fire, when they ran at all, and often lacked even the most basic of amenities, like brake lights or turn signals. But history has been kind to the Trabi. Thousands of East Germans drove their Trabants over the border when the Wall fell, which made it a kind of automotive liberator. Once across the border, the none-too-sentimental Ostdeutschlanders immediately abandoned their cars. Ich bin Junk!

Yes. First car was a '79 Accord. Great car sold it to move to Colorado when I really should have paid to ship it there.

Bought the Aries and it was junk (obviously). Then bought the Buick and that caught on fire.

I buy good cars, get rid of them for seemingly good reason and replace them with less good cars. Then chase the dragon again.

So...you're saying that...when you finally do get that awesome Audi Avant you always wanted...you'll sell it in a week and buy a Ford Pinto...
