You can swap the cars when a new 2015 comes in or wait until the one year lease is up.

Enterprise is going to buy all the 1-year lease cars to keep them from flooding the used car market.

Autoblog has the story <--- This is a link
So it's actually a 4-year lease, 3 years of which you spend owning a car nobody currently knows anything about? Are the lease terms at least inked out?

IMO it's a good idea for Chrysler die-hards who want to be the first to get the new model, but I can't understand why anyone with some common sense would do this.

Probably because the next cars are not revolutionary but evolutionary? I dunno. I think it's a novel way to solve a problem of oversupply.

It all depends on the lease terms.

If you can get a GREAT lease terms on the 2014 cars and keep the same terms (like it said in the article) for 2015 cars. I don't think that is a bad deal at all.

What s the worst that can happen? They can't possibly downgrade the base engine from a v6 to n/a I4 or only offer all season tires.

Not bad when you compare it to a 991 C4 Cab. Same base price. Targa top is much more complicated, so the fact they put it at the same base price as a C4 cab means they think they are going to sell quite a few of them.

I was behind a red ATS4 2.0T yesterday, and really, I like the rear end styling quite a bit. I like how the exhaust tips are more centrally located. Gives it a pretty aggressive look.

The 2.0T RWD starts at $36K and the AWD starts at $38K. 272hp and 260 lb-ft of torque... why would I even consider a naturally aspirating 4-cylinder TLX?

But I don't like the German-esque options separation.
  • CUE with navigation is not available until the Luxury package, starting at $40K
  • HID headlights are not available until the Performance package, starting at $43K
  • Leather seats not available until the Luxury package
  • Split-folding rear seat only available in the Luxury package
  • Magnesium paddle shift controls not available until the Performance package
  • 6MT only available in the RWD version

Anyways, the way I built it is 2.0T RWD Performance Package with 6MT, Red Obsession Tintcoat, Morello Red w/Jet Black Accents, Leather seating surfaces with Carbon Fiber trim, Cold Weather Package, CUE1 with navigation, power sunroof, black chrome grille, and black chrome rear trim, for $44,295 which includes $3K cash back. If they could knock a couple more grand off that, I think that's a pretty awesome deal. And honestly, I would consider this much more than the TLX. Mainly it's the manny tranny factor.

Yeah, after reading more about it, I don't think it would be quite worth the price.

They need to fix the drivetrain and they'll have an amazing car on their hands. Generally the reviews are positive of the car overall. But I agree that review is disappointing as that's a main reason to buy the 2.0T/6MT combo instead of the 3.6/Auto.

Plus the ATS needs an 8-speed auto to keep up with the Joneses.

Gonna forward that review to my brother... thanks.

Why is it that most OEM navigation units just plain suck? I haven't tried them all, but in-dash aftermarket units always seem much faster, responsive, and even feature laden. Only thing is they don't have the same integration as OEM.

That or it's a love/hate thing. People seem to hate CUE. iDrive seems to have gotten better, people seem to prefer MMI more. I'm not crazy about my navigation. Surprisingly, one of my favorite navi units was in my friend's Evo X. But he agreed that there's nothing else in Mitsubishi's lineup worth considering, so pfft.

^ - Granted I'm a little dated with nav but Toyota/Lexus (2005) sucks balls at navigation ease of use. Audi is good (2008). Infiniti (2009) is easy if they don't lock you out while moving. I couldn't afford the one in the TL at the time so I only have the one from 1999 to go off of - which was also easy to use.

The CTS has it standard on the V-Sport. I can only think that Cadillac is trying to save money. A good 6-speed isn't necessarily a dealbreaker but the fuel economy isn't all that great (18/28) with the 3.6/6AT.

Looks good here, but on the lower models with a single exhaust outlet

The pic of the ATS makes it look better than it actually does in person.
