First time sitting in a MP4-12C today. Man that thing is tight. If you're over 6" you ain't getting in. Interior is so nice though - controls feel so solid and crafted well. Seats hold you in nice but not too tight. It feels like a purpose-built car as it should. Hopefully I'll get to drive this thing on the track over the weekend. Along with the others. Will def report back.

Please do. MaLarens make me want to do something stupid like buy one of them..

I've sat in an MP4-12c, didn't get to drive it though, was just the passenger. And I've been in an F1 years and years ago.

Yeah, the F1 was a strange car inside with that 3 seat configuration. I remember my feet being really cramped but otherwise I wasn't complaining Amazing car..

^ Different guy, I think. Tokyo Drift dude was played by Brian Tee. Too Soon Junior guy is Rick Yune.

I could have sworn that was the Johnny Tang character, who was played by Rick Yune. I guess I just proved my own point #inadvertentracism

Sounds perfect for me. I'd love to sit in a 12C let alone drive one!

I'm 6'3" and sat in a MP4-12C and a Aventador a few weeks ago in Amelia Island. The McLaren fit me better, and both have very nice controls with good detents and tactile feel. They had test drives for both, but you're just driving on local congested roads with 35MPH speed limits. What I really wanted to sit in was the 962C.

Cool

Any of you guys hear about the Collier Collection before?

From here: http://www.supercars.net/news/Inside...ollection.html

Finally! Today we can share images from inside the exceptional Collier Collection now known as the Revs Institute. That's because they are opening their doors to the public by reservation only.

For the last 20 years, this specular facility has been out of the public eye, including some of the world's best preserved race cars.

The Collier Automotive Museum was built up from collection of Briggs Cunningham and has expanded to include the most important cars ever built.

Having viewed many of the cars at concours and racing in Monterey, we have always seen absolutely top work from The Revs Institute.

To view the collection in person, please visit http://revsinstitute.org/.

1970 Porsche 917-019 Kurzheck - The world's only unrestored 917 Kurzheck chassis 917-019 still wearing the livery from its last race. The 1971 Grand Prix de Spa where Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep drove for the Martini Racing Team.

More Porsches...

Cunningham C4R and C4RK Coupe - The museum began as the Briggs Cunningham collection and naturally now includes some of the world's best Cunninghams. In behind is the rare C4RK Coupe which is completely unrestored and has never left the facility.

1950 OSCA MT4 - This OSCA MT4 has the distinction of winning the 1954 Sebring 12-Hours outright alongside the factory Lancia D24s, Ferrari 375 MMs, Jaguar XK120s, Aston Martin DB3s and a host of other larger cars.

I may get flak for this, but the McLaren logos look different compared to each other on the two wheels.

Seriously, what was ChryslerFiat thinking with the Jeep Cherokee?

I was behind one this morning, and really, the rear end is not bad. But when I passed it and looked back, the front end is just so horrid, especially with the headlights design, I couldn't help but shake my head in disgust.

The way the DRLs are on top, the headlight bulbs below that (and below the bottom half of the grille, too), and then similar round fog lights below that, just looks so damn ugly. It just completely ruins the flow of the front. Really?

So basically you see two columns of light that go down three rows.

At first it reminds me of:

Two cars in particular that I hated in pictures were the new IS and the Cherokee. In person, they look good!

Very off-putting front ends, but they grew on me quickly. The GT-R on the other hand...

Like, any would think about is BEST BARGAIN. In the GT-R, you have AWD, Porsche-like performance, decent upkeep costs...all for less than the competition.

So, it's good price. Be a man. Do the right thing. Be a man.
