Supercar gathering in Qatar
With an ensemble of acoustically harmonious supercars roaring, the scene looking fresh out “Need for Speed,” this annual gathering is simply amazing with all of the exotic rides preening in every color of the spectrum.
The 2014 European Supercar Gathering took place on March 14 in Qatar and showcased some of the finest specimens from an array of brands.
Naming all the cars worth naming would make us winded, but here is just a taste of what was spotted in the clip. There were a few McLaren 12Cs, Ferrari 458s, a Lamborghini MurcielagoSV, Mercedes-Benz SLS and even a sweet Techart Porsche 911. The fast-paced, heart-pounding video was brought to you by the folks over at dlightswitch, and thanks to World Car Fans for discovering it.
Check out the video above and click through our reviews of the rest of the supercars to find out which ones we liked best.

Wow, you boys see this? It's like an ultimate car-person's vacation.

So, in summary, this tour goes for 10 days. You start in Amsterdam and then over to Germany for a day at the Ring. Then, they take you to Switzerland and Italy for a full day at Monza. Stops are also at Monaco and Cannes. Yow.
Apparently track cars are included in the package along with 5-star hotel accommodations and a guest.

Works out to almost $10k... but holy hell what a vacation. Sure does include a lot with the package though.
Geiger rear bumper for Z06
Definitely something to consider if one has $10K in their budget and plans to vacay in Europe for a spell.

...for everything else, there's Mastercard.

That would be awesome. But, yeah. I don't have a spare $10k sitting around right now.

So? You ever see what it takes to replace a starter on a LS400? About 11 hours of work.

That doesn't make it any less deplorable. Even more surprising considering the LS400 is a Toyota product... generally they're very easy to work on. MR2 not withstanding.
I could remove my water pump in my Camaro in an hour or less, even taking my time. It's really straightforward. I could teach a monkey how to do it.
Designing a car is a convoluted process. But there shouldn't be a disconnect between the designers and engineers. You shouldn't have to remove a tire to change a headlight bulb, or to change a battery. Or unbolt engine mounts to jack up the engine so you can change spark plugs. Or unbolt the entire front end, radiator, etc. to do a water pump + timing belt.
It would be one thing if it were difficult. It's another when it looks like a sadist designed it.
Send me the details..
I'll find him, post his nudes and tell you which side of the bed he sleeps on
