Lamborghini's? I could say just about every model has not aged well at all, but that's not surprising when every major model is kept in production for close to a decade.

The Countach in question, is rather interesting, though. The original 1973 LP400 did age rather well considering that it became an unmistakeable 80's era car with the redesign of the LP400S, which were actually based on 2 modified LP400s from the mid '70s. In short, the 80's-affiliation of the Countach was literally before its time. Today, very different story.

The Diablo aged well up until the fixed headlight redesign was applied to all their models. The 6.0 VT of 2000 though, was breath of fresh air & instantly modernized the car. However, it ended up making all the Diablos look like old 90's supercars they were instantly. The 6.0 though, has aged very well.

Even today, the LP560-4s introduction made the 5.0 model look old instantly as did the LP670-4 SV which made the 2002 Murcielago look very old. But, it won't be long til' the Gallardo bodystyle overall just becomes outdated (it's 9 years old now). The Aventador & Murc. LP640 though, share a similar body structure if you view it enough; one's just round & the other is all angles. Just in my opinion, that small difference alone is enough to keep the Aventador from completely outdating the LP640 & SV. But, being all angles, it does end up making the Reventon look a tad old now side-by-side.

The Miura is one that gets a pass. You know it's old, but like the 250 GTO, the design is just timeless. It doesn't look at all like it was designed in the '60s, it just stands out that much.

All this of course, being my .

Dated and aged well are very different in my mind.

Dated: May have been attractive for its time, but looks inappropriate/unattractive today. A fad.

Aged well: Attractive for its time, and still attractive today.

Okay...let me ask this then regarding the remainder of my previous post - Is it your opinion that all of those cars I mentioned have not "aged well"?

having had some more time to think about it, the statement "Ferraris and Lambos don't age well" means that you think there are other cars from other manufacturers which fall into the same category that DO age well. which cars are you referring to?

My alternator on the '98 328i died. Stranded me for the third time in eight months.

#firstworldproblems and all but I'm thinking perhaps it's time to make a change.

my friend bought a very clean 2005 TSX with 6MT today. i just test drove it and it's sooooo smooth. i loved it. it was my first time driving a 6MT TSX and i was pretty impressed. the previous owner was surprisingly a chinese lady, so the car itself is in a very good condition with all the options on it. the car is obviously a bone stock with 80k miles on it. he got it for $12.8k.

Congrats to your friend! Was this the same friend that was looking for a fun-to-drive car a while back?

Actually, I have a bone to pick with the "lady driven" claims on car ads. Generally speaking, that's a negative IMHO. Most, if not all of my female friends that drive are careless. Their cars are filthy, dinged and scratched up, and less aware of surroundings than my male friends. I know that's a blanket statement, it doesn't go for all my female friends, but definitely the vast majority.

And before you blame it on age, my 55-year-old mother falls victim to it too. The scratch on my rear bumper was caused by her, and she can be a little bit careless in the city. All her friend's cars looked like a grenade blew up in them.

Cliffs: IMHO, men take care of their cars more than women.

Yeah its the same friend.

The previous owner took care of the car incredibly well. The car has no ding or scratch whatsoever. The interior leatger and all the panels are very clean.

She said she enjoys driving a stick shift and she already bought a new car for herself which is a brand new fully loaded 335is with a 6MT. I thought she was fucking awesome.

Shes definitely not a typical asian lady. Lol

The problem with getting something else is that there really isn't much in the $7-8k range that I find interesting.

This is also the case with me. Most, if not all, of my female friends do not care for their car at all. It's a point A to point B for them. I always cringe at the sound of a bumper scraping a parking lot entrance, or the thud of the frame on a speed bump. Its so sad

Can I ask you guys some questions?

I got into an accident on 1/1/12... Long story short, accident was caused by other party, not me.
I ended up getting a lawyer to protect myself from getting screwed... Unfortunately, lawyer recommended not to talk their insurance company (Geico), but I did... now, they tweaked my store to assramp me.

Geico told my lawyer that they will admit 75% is their fault and 25% is my fault, although it was 100% other person's fault. I told my lawyer that I will not admit 25% being my fault... They are suggest that I should just accept their offer and get paid for 75% rather take this case longer.

What you guys think??

How did they come with that percentage though?? 75% :25%? wtf?

I feel like lawyer and insurance company is just playing game with me on this one... or, I am just being crazy by over thinking this whole situation.

Four questions -

1 - Is there a police report?

2 - Was the other party cited?

3 - How much $'s are we talking about?

4 - If your attorney working on contingency or hourly?

no, no one was hurt, and nothing else was damaged.
I asked lawyer, insurance agent, and 911.... they told me that no policy report would be needed.

2 - Was the other party cited?
nope.
3 - How much $'s are we talking about?
No one knows until we get a estimate on my hospital bill...
I get can get around my 25% deductible because I know the bodyshop, so that should be a problem.

4 - If your attorney working on contingency or hourly?
Contingency.
Basically, nothing would come out of my pocket, but I am more pissed that I have to admit something that wasn't my fault.... also taking 25% off my reward.

Given the facts you've described, it seems Geico is offering something up to see if they can get it settled quickly. They likely know: 1) personal injury trials don't usually go well in front of juries (which is in your favor); and 2) that there are very few independent facts to help your case (i.e. citation, police report, etc.; this is in their favor). Honestly, if you don't believe you had any contributory negligence, I don't see why you should admit to any percentage of the fault.

The 75/25 split is just a negotiating thing. I'm guessing there's very little "science" behind that number.

only mistake I made was that I spoke to Geico... If I didn't talk to them and explained what happened, I am sure this case would have been much easier for my lawyer to fight for.

My lawyer told me that they will "try" to make it 100% their fault, most likely not going to happen.

When you say "lawyer" I'm assuming you mean your lawyer. Given what your stating, why not ask him straight out whether Geico offered up any $ amount so far? He's your counsel and is obligated to you, not Geico.

yes, my lawyer.

Maybe I just have trusting issue...

Over all, I just hope that I can get paid for what happened. I am not looking for huge amount of money, but money that I could have earned and damaged that was caused to my body and my gf's body.

I think she is in more pain than I am... she already had a disk issue, so this accident definitely made her situation worse.

Have either of you missed out on any time at work or are we talking only medical costs, etc.?

Hours that I missed out at work plus all these hassle that my gf and I went through.

Med bills should be all covered by their insurance company (Geico).

I'm sure you've discussed this with your attorney, but, if you have fewer dollars in your pocket because of missed time at work, you should be able to claim these as losses as well. You should also give thought to whether you expect to incur any future financial losses as a result of the incident.

^ definitely going to do that.

I just spoke to bodyshop and they are willing to install aftermarket grille for me... lol.
I am going to get it this weekend, drop it off to get it painted while they work on my car.

Also, patch drilled holes for plate.
