Look...an E63 in any freaking color would still be amazing. Heck, I'd take her in "flaming salmon" if I could have one. So, really...debating the color is secondary.
i literally watched you not help a guy set up a smart tv (unless you thought a smug smirk was helping)...
That entire situation was amusing. Poor Chip

If I were to go with the Volvo it would (unfortunately) be new, since the Polestar is a 2020 model. But it may end up being a lease due to reliability and (of course) the depreciation. But there's regularly a decent amount of cash on the hood of Volvos around here.

This combo is particularly gorgeous, but I can't bring myself to own a red car:
This is the combo I'd like:
Or
Ideally with these packages:
- Warmth & comfort package
- Night package
- Driver assistance package
- Active front seats w/massage
- Acoustic comfort package
- Heads up display
- Manual rear side sunshades
- Heated rear seats
- Leather steering wheel
But, since I'm looking used, I'm at the mercy of whomever spec'd the car, which is no big deal since most have all of the packages I'd want anyway.
^ Designo Cardinal Red? Gorgeous & love those seats.
Not loving the brown though. I forget the user that had an S-class with designo blue interior
I do wish there was a bit more in the way of interior colors, but I like the Nut Brown interior. The Macchiato Beige is really nice, but I think it'll show a lot of dirt. However, beige with the black ash wood is
That white interior is going to get jean stains in about 20 minutes.
You can, however, have any color you want provided you have the ability to write a big enough check.
This is the number 1 reason why I don't want that interior color.
I've got a few people looking for one for me, and I've got alerts set up to see when one pops up for sale. I don't intend on making this jump until the end of the year, because I'd like to enjoy the R through the summer and then part out in the fall. I intended to get out of the R in 2020/21 when I was purchasing it, so this is still in line with the original plan.
The performance Model 3 is soulless
That being said, it'll fucking cook the rest of your list, and cost less too (use the savings on PV array)
Oh I know, the 3 will destroy most everything on the street. I was telling Casey that it would actually make a ton of sense for her since it she could pretty much drive to and from work for an entire week on a single charge, and not have to worry about fuel or oil, just tires and brakes.
But...wagon

Shiettt.. Estate
Devouring everyone's lunch on the street won't get old
But the satisfaction of having a legit rumble and in a wagon form
... and still eat most people's lunch on the street

Brah, why not Vagon? Not fancy tech enough for you..
Morgan, you can get anything in Mexico. They have literally everything from Europe we don't get and with the Peso in the toilet it's freaking cheap. (can you say 19.5 to the dollar)?
The CRV was no problem. It was literally the same (except the speedometer that had KM as primary) We did have a hassle selling it thanks to Americans not being able to grasp the concept that 105k KM was 65k miles. We finally found an Australian that was happy to get such a low mile 2004 in 2010 when we sold it.
We also brought a 2001 A3 which was never sold here, we were able to get a letter from VW that said it was very similar to a Golf which the government accepted. I am sure you could do the same seeing as everything these days are based on the same frame & just cosmetically different.
The A3 went back to Mexico, we gave it to a family member there.
There are lots of small importers in Mexico, my brother in law got a europe only Mercedes (I'll have to ask which) brought in. I can ask him if his guy can get the B9 S4 Avant if you like.
What about a Jag XF-S wagon? Not stupid fast but equal to the Volvo and a lot more stylish. They can be had for cheap and the Jag CPO warranty is actually really good.
If the car does not comply to the US EPA Code do not waste your time or money to certify …….the car is illegal to be imported into the USA...
( Mandatory) You require a OFFICIAL affidavit from the car manufacturer manufacturing department confirming your vehicle serial number VIN is conform to the US-EPA code ( Year) as manufactured on the (Day & Month) in the plant ( Number identified ). You will have on the same affidavit confirming the car was manufactured as per the US DOT Safety Standard code applicable.
To reiterate to what you alluded...

And the reason we don't get them is... THEY DON"T COMPLY TO US-EPA CODE.. so they are banned until they can either be modified to comply and certified by an ICI or they come of age (21 years).

Good looking ride, decent pep, but still pricey for what it is
I'd still go the E63 Estate route..
