Much prefer the wheels on #2. The all silver stands out a bit too much for me. Prefer the contrast on the split spokes.

The more I look at the Carrera Exclusive wheels (#1) the more I like them over the Carrera Classics (#2). They are more than twice the price of the Classics but I'm a big believer in good wheels on my cars (Volks on 350Z, HRE's on 650, BBS on 530 at one time). It is a tough choice and I have a lot of time to decide as Porsche hasn't gotten me an allocation yet (acknowledgement of order) and put me in the queue.

Hmm, I could go either way on the wheels. Both look good. But Sam does make a good point of the decal and more retro looking wheels.

They do look more Porsche-retro that's for sure. I like them, this is going to be a difficult process. Wish I could lock in my build now and be done obsessing over details.

For me, it's that the car is silver & the wheels are a different shade that doesn't flow as well. If the car were a different color, I'd like option 1 more.

1 reminds me of the old Fuchs wheels

#1 is more expensive: $2630 vs. $1260.

#2 (Carrera Classics) have a black finish partly on them making cleaning them easier. That is a small factor to consider, I've got lots of time to fret about this before getting to my "Lock date" on my build.

#2 as it looks better with the modern styling of the 992

I'm 99% certain it will be option 2 (Carrera Classics) on my final build.

Can you take "UPDATE!!" out of the title? Every time I see this thread get bumped I get excited and then immediately disappointed lol.

Was completely unaware of this cool feature on the configurator until I accidentally clicked a little red symbol at the bottom right of the build. It pulls up a QR code that you scan with the Porsche Visualizer app then go somewhere to see what your build looks like. I screwed up and touched an icon accidentally and it changed my wheels and took off the Porsche decal on the door. Oh well, here's what it would look like in my driveway. My dog even made the shot! lol

Stopped by Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota yesterday and looked at an Aventurine Green and a Dolomite Silver 911. As much as I thought I wanted that silver, I'm unsure now. I did find out though I am number 1 on my dealer's allocation list for a C2S.

If I was buying a Porsche right now it would be either in Aventurine Green or Irish Green but green is my favorite color so I'd be willing to pay for it on my dream car.

saw a Gentian Blue 992 Saturday in downtown Sarasota, drop dead gorgeous. The dude stalled it at a green light, panicked looks, vroom, fired right back up and made his u-turn and split. Turns out the manual 911 has a feature where if you push the clutch in after stalling, it automatically fires back up with no turning of the key. Here's a GB 992: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNWE6CV9

Would still go for the Aventurine, but that blue is gorgeous, too.
Neat feature on the clutch restart.

The clutch restart is newer but not that new. The Ford hatchback I had as a rental in Switzerland back in 2018 had it.

Idea for a plate. I'd rather have the plate below but you can't configure online.
