Should add its a rebuilt 2017. Upgraded to 48 volts with new electronics, motor & batteries, raised chassis, wheels/tires. New seat foam & covering, windshield. Headlights with turn signals & tail lights (kit) added to make it street legal here. Gets NC tags.

Its faster than the local speed limits on the island so no issues with traffic. Pretty common most resident families have one. Large rental fleet for vacation people.

Parked for the winter.

Yeah its a bit tight, but then how many regular 2-car garages have 2 cars, 4 motorcycles, a lath/mill combo, a compressor and a car lift in them?
Forget a house with an attached garage. I need a garage with an attached house.

sweet, My great grandfather started Trojan. Was a family business for 95+ years. My first job was dumping acid into those batteries . We've built some stupid fast golf carts in the past.

You have a forum members discount plan. Nice, Got them because I read they are the number 1 rated units. Congrats to your family.

I'm sure she only considers exotics as Lamborghini or Ferrari. The NSX was well worth it! Such an incredible machine.
It surprises me how much attention the NSX gets. And you are right, most people usually ask me what car is it. There's only been a few occasions where people would be screaming "Hey is that the NSX???"

And even less people know that it's a hybrid. The car would start up really loudly, then within seconds, the engine will turns off itself as it gets into EV mode. The reaction people have when this happens is quite amusing lol.

Anyway, look some pics today as new wheels were installed.

Obviously they are not "car people".

And they are few on the roads simply because Acura over-priced themselves on that model. At a shade over $200K where I live, I had other choices.

Yea I think most people aren't car people like us here.

And for sure, the Nsx is the odd one out in the whole Acura line up. I personally think may be their original 2g Nsx concept might be a better fit for the Acura brand. Instead of having an uber expensive race car engine ($80k) in the current Nsx, the modified j series mounted transversely would have kept the cost below $100k with about 420hp.

I kinda think it was a bit of a rush to get the Nsx out, probably due to the really negative view on Honda back in 2012 (a couple years after leaving f1, cancelling tier 1 plan for Acura, the Acura shield grille, the 2012 civic, etc). They probably wanted to get some positivity back to the brand and hence the Nsx concept was shown. And once it's shown they had to make it to the market quickly. May be if they had taken the time and waited for the new 3.0T v6 engine they could use a tuned version of it for the Nsx. Thst would be better then the j series while still keeping the cost way down compared to having a bespoke race car engine. The power output would still be similar too and good enough for a street car. No one really needs an engine that can do 24hrs of LeMans like the current Nsx engine.

Beautiful NSX!

A car friend of mine has an NSX and said the same thing. Most are clueless that it's an NSX.

It's a bit dirty...

That's what a 2,000-mile road trip and lack of enthusiasm for washing during a pandemic will do, I guess. We'll get her cleaned up eventually...

Work VS-XX wheels put away and the 8.5 A-spec wheels are back on. Just a quick detail spray before covering the car.

Haha! I should actually get a plate like that for the front just to confound people

The Aviator is still very nice to roll around in. Had a couple of issues already. I expected to have those "first year" gremlins though. I'll do a long-term update on it soon.
