Burning Brakes
Had a little free time this morning to processing some images
This was outside of The Dalles in Central Oregon couple miles down some random gravel road I found. cascade mountain range in the background. Thought it was kind of a cool scene with the old sheds and the gravel road that kind of wraps around the hill as sorta a leading line .. I dunno.
believe I used Lee big stopper for this
Sunset by flex0168, on Flickr
A shot from my little mini trip up to the Palouse up in Washington was a sunrise shot taken with the dust pump (100-400). Def going to take some vacation and go up again this next year very unique location.
The Palouse by flex0168, on Flickr
And trying out some Glamor style photography with my wife. Used a ring light for this portrait along with the Rokinon 85 1.4 not to shabby of a lens for being south of $300 bucks

Yah...You're right. That's why these days most of my lenses have no UV filters in front of them. I just clean them regularly and always keep a hood on when i'm using them. I think a lot of peeps use them for a little extra protection. I'm just very cautious. If I were earning money with my photography I would probably think differently.

I don't use uv filters. Stopped years ago. If I was shooting in a desert wind storm...maybe.

Btw. I think I'm jealous of the d750. It's got a 90% score on dpreview and trumps the d800 is a rating comparo on their site.

D800 is almost 3 yrs old, D750 is new. Not too bad IMO.
I never used UV filters - I do think its mostly used as a safeguard. Also companies like adding them on as part of packages. And I think when people spend a lot on a lens they feel like they need to protect it.
