one thing I forgot to mention that gives the photo a little more perspective is that it's a 200mm lens on a 7D (320mm with crop factor)

Been too busy at work to photograph anything. Drove down to Sandy Hook with a couple of friends to try to find the snow owl. When we got there, we meet another tog and he was on the same mission. We walked about 2 miles out on the beach and finally found the snow owl. The photo of the owl in flight was the first shot I took and my favorite from today.

...anyways

so, I was at this location tonight and saw this eerie glow over the water. The people I was with told me that there's some kind of plant over there with greenhouses and at night they cause this glow. So, luckily I had my gear in the trunk... After we parted ways, I went and got my gear... It was actually NO WHERE as bright as this, it was rather dark actually, which made auto focusing impossible. I tempted to manual focus but it was frustrating. It looks okay in this size file, but zoom in, and the tree line is out of focus

When my first daughter was born a few years ago, asianspec (not a mod at that time) made a meme using two of my baby's pictures to which I took no offense to because there were no ill intentions and I actually found it humorous. And I'm confident in saying that there were probably none with Sarlacc's post, he was just being one of the guys on the board, and goofing around. So again, what exactly bothered you about the post? What if one of your friends or relatives had pointed it out, would you still have reacted to them the way you did here? Food for thought.

If you post something on a public forum, be prepared for anything someone else has to say.
