No I haven't yet this is kind of my first try at doing star photography. I actually was going to try the multiple exposure thing and stacking them since that helps with noise but I got lazy when I got there and just decided to set it to a half hour and sit back lol
. It took the camera equally as long to write it to the card to, but I also had long exposure noise reduction on so that probably didn't help the write time.

Oh, nice, well shooting in RAW is a huge file...actually I'm interested in how large that file is (if you shot in RAW).

This is taken with the new Samyang lens I got 14mm F/2.8 shot at 3200iso and 30secs. Anyone wanting a ultra wide angle That's the lens to get for $350 bucks you cant go wrong and the build quality is solid. Very impressed.

One more shot from the Samyang 14mm framed a little higher so less forest and more sky and no shooting star or plane or whatever was shooting across in the other shot ufo maybe lol

Granted, I'm not pointing in the right direction, but still, the stars don't "pop" at all.
And the 60D is not great with noise levels over like 800, so I avoid high ISO like the plague.

went to Brookfield Zoo yesterday, got some decent grabs but it was pretty tough with only 300mm to work with. Last time I was there to see the zoo was 2004.
