I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I'd stick my key in her ignition, if you know what I mean
The first two seem a little soft/smudgy - not sure if photohost overcompressing or what.

It can be due to me resizing the resolution with another program, because I brought them down to like 2000 pixels instead of the usual 5000+ Also, I was shooting at 800 iso in low light.

Srika, saw this shot on your flickr from your trip up into my neck of the woods. Must say I love the perspective you got of these unique buildings. They are called the Marilyn towers and are supposed to reflect Marilyn Monroe's shape. Great shot!

Wasn't really happy with my other vista shot turned out so went back up and tried again this time only a min exposure, which still achieved the streaky cloud look I wanted. It still needs a little work in PP but..eh.. . Also had this guy come up and say hi while I was trying to take it lol.

^ How do you Like the battery grip? Worth investing in?

I love the grip - it works great - it's nice to have the joystick on it for AF adjustment - I do have a gripe though - I occasionally have power problems with it - I have a feeling it's because they have changed the design of the battery compartment, making it more prone to connectivity issues - they changed it to a 1D style configuration, where there is a battery holder that slides out in a "tray". I don't know if I have a bad example or what but sometimes the connection doesn't show up for both batteries, and the battery meter will be showing low battery, even though I just put in 2 charged batteries. And I have to kind of fidget and fiddle with the batteries and the connections to get it to register - not fun when you are at an event and on the clock . But once I get it situated it's fine. It works for the 1D since that is just one battery and it seats right into the body and has a direct connection to it. With the 5D you've got the 2 batteries which must seat properly into the cradle, and I think this is where the connectivity issues sometimes arise. I think their decision to move to this design for the 5D line may not have been a good one - I never had this problem with the older design on the 5Dc. Anyway. I really needed the grip, I don't like shooting the camera too much without it. I love the solid feeling it gives the camera and the additional real estate to grip the camera with. Not to mention the shutter release and other functional aspects.
You can see the battery tray mechanism here:

I shoot people
...so, I'm in SoCal, have been for almost 3 weeks now, and I'm going back to Vancouver on Monday. My FX has been in the garage (in SoCal), it's NOT registered as an operating vehicle so I can't really drive it, but I started it up today and pulled it out of the garage, took a few quick shots... I miss driving this car (at the same time, I absolutely refuse to bring it to Vancouver for a few reasons).
Not bad for an 03' with only 52k miles and ZERO door dings, huh? 10 year old car and still looks great to me
